Let us know which is the range you enjoy the most !
Not fluffwise or rulewise, but only the models.

For me, it is the Skitarii I guess, and the Genestealer Cults close second. I have always loved infantry, and they have wonderful infantry soldiers ! I
I do not like the necrons very much, although.

Space marines are a solid range too.

Dark Eldars have gorgeous models, but horrendous too, in the same range, so, I can't say I love their whole range.

Nothing too special about the others, some are good, some are bad. But nothing as good as the skitarii (even the dunecrawlers are funny) or the Cults.

Orks are fun, but not with the current fluff, go back to 'ere we go' and have that sort of background, hooligans not fungus.

Also tyranids, most of the range

on the forum. Obviously

I like the skitarii range. I think they are really good models. The admech range...not so much.
There were necron models I liked, but those have been replaced with inferior designs.

I fell in love with the Skitarii when I got back in 40K. I was ready to buy the Start Collecting Tau and then... I saw them... And they talked to my soul. Love the Vanguards, Rangers, and the Secutarii the most in the army.

As for the Cult Mechanicus, it may be an unpopular opinion, but I absolutely love the Kastelan. They're just so cute, I keep picturing them speaking with a Fallout's Mister Handy voice, cheerful and retrorobotic-like.

In other armies, I'll admit to have a place in my heart for the Scions, but I don't think it's reasonable to include some in my army.

If I had to play the Guard I'd have burned my money in Krieg warriors.

I'd have to say the new thousand sons range is absolutely gorgeous! As well as the deahwatch stuff.
Always been a huge fan of the harlequins and feel that their range is satisfying though quite static!

And as always, chaos. Chaos is, has been, and always will be my favorite, if not for the models solely, but for the customization factor in how easy it is to make anything chaosified!

Eldar have some bad sculpts, but not many people play the Phoenix Lords anyway. The Falcon is what got me into the army, and the Rangers and Banshees are pretty gorgeous as well.

As long as the models I'm collecting and painting are nice, I don't care if there's issues in the rest of the range I'll never see outside of the Codex. (e.g. If I collected Grey Knights, I'd skip the Dreadknight and just go with Venerable Dreadnoughts.)

It has to be the Dark Eldar for me. Utterly beautiful plastic kits for Wyches, Kabalites, Raiders, Venoms, Scourges, Hellions, Reavers. Plus, damn near everything is interchangeable (and a good deal of it with Eldar Guardian and Dire Avenger kits) which is gold-dust for a kitbasher such as myself.

Skitarii are a very close second for their gorgeous infantry and walker.

The sculpts are the one area where Games Workshop consistently excels, and with very few exceptions, I love them all. It's the one thing that in spite of all of the complaints (valid or otherwise) that people level against them, makes me keep coming back to, and admiring their ranges, even at the exclusion of all others. I honestly believe that did GW not exist, I would have no interest in miniature figurines at all.

Although those new Halo ones do look interesting.

As much as I am a critic of GW rules, I am generally a fan of the models and I think that the huge diversity make each an every single line stronger in its concept.

I absolutely love Death Korps. Krieg Commissars > all. Probably Krieg is the winner.
I love scions, I have an army of them. I converted the tauroxes with 6 wheels and turret weapons and now they work very well.
I love the guard in general, Tanks in general, Russes in specific.

I love Eldars, I don't think there is a model I hate, even old ones have a charme and still hold their own.
Dark Eldars, I love warriors and more than anything else the Incubi. They are in my top 10.
Nids are cool in general but I have no preferences. Same the cult, it just work very well as a whole (neophyte are the best I guess).
I love immortals for Necrons.
Admech in general is very cool and in line with the old art. Skitarii Rangers come on top out of this, in my top 10 too.
Plague Marines from Forge World. Also, I cannot understand why they dismissed the FW Chaos Dreads, vastly superior to the GW ones, now that there are rules to kinda support them. The lack of communication between FW and GW is legendary. Believe it or not, Chaos Terminators.
Orks, I appreciate the tone of the army in general. The Killa Kan are adorable.
Sob, I love the models with the helmet.
Inquisition has some interesting freakshow, the inquisitors themselves are diverse, badass and very blanchian.
Assassins are awesome. Got the 4 metals to support my scions.
The old basics SW are nice (Claws, Hunters, Long Fangs, Scouts) shame for what happened next. A pity.
Loyalist FW dreadnought, too. Best loyalists are Templars, Salamanders (the only chapter i respect and I would play) and Dark Angels because capes.
Tau, I love the stealth suits, the new ones.
I had a big demon army in WHFB, I love them but they are a fantasy army alone, for me. They should go back supporting CSM and tone down the shenanigans.

Generic characters disappearing? Elite units of your army losing options and customizations? No longer finding that motivation to convert?
Your army could suffer Post-Chapterhouse Stress Disorder (PCSD)! If you think that your army is suffering one or more of the aforementioned symptoms, call us at 789-666-1982 for a quick diagnosis!

Orks (but i hate silly and funny orks, they must be scary and brutal in my opinion), dark eldar and space wolves. Then i'd say tyranids, eldar and necrons. The other armies look just ok or terrible, for example i can't see tau and, chaos daemons and genestealer cults, i don't like them at all.

Necrons have a great range that looks very coherent. I like their uniform style. Same with Grey Knights.
CSM, if very old, but still have a nice design on many sculpts, even though the range itself is very clustered.
Tau look good, maybe the only 40K army that's not too over the top and has a real sci-fi feeling to them - aside from the stormsurge which looks just aweful and might be one of the ugliest models in all of 40k.

The worst armies for my taste are Daemons and Tyranids. The latter look like ridiculous caricatures of the Giger-Alien and Daemons... they are nightmares in the concept and that translates well into the miniatures.

For me the plastic Eldar and Dark Eldar ranges are my favorites by far.
So much so that I have attempted to convert/theme several non-Eldar armies using Eldar models:

Eldar Grey Knights: http://glennsgwmodels.blogspot.com/2016/01/eldar-terminators.html
Eldar Tau Suits: http://glennsgwmodels.blogspot.com/2014/02/wraith-construct-tau-allies.html
Eldar Necrons: http://glennsgwmodels.blogspot.com/2012/08/eldar-wraithcrons.html

After that, I like Daemons & Necrons aesthetic, but only the plastic models

The terminator captain looks really good to me. The armor is incredibly well made, and the ridges + details lend perfectly to shading and highlighting. You can do an amazing paint job on this relatively quickly and with little effort.
