So I'm curious what they would have to say to each other, kinda like in tts but keep in mind that its been hinted that Magnus knew that Horus was the one who tricked Leman Russ to attack him. And for the sake of making this easy lets say they met psickly.

My teorie is that magnus might come back to the emperors side, and sacrifice himself to either free his legion or free the emperor. And hell either die in the process or be stuck in the golden throne. Since originally magnus was meant to be the only one who could winstand the mental strain of the astronomicon, eve malcaeol died after powering it for a few hours. And the only way the emperor could be removed without shutting down the darn thing is either for magnus to take his birthright and master of the astronomicon or for the warp to calm down to pre heresy levels.

In all seriousness I think that Big E would try to convince Magnus to renounce Tzeentch or at least cease all conflict with the Imperium, but because (unlike TTS) the Emperor probably can't just beat up Tzeentch and steal Magnus's soul back, and Tzeentch has some power over Magnus, Emp's efforts would probably be futile. Unless one of Tzeentch's plans involved Magnus and father to reunite, in which case things would probably go better.

I think it's more likely that Alpharius or Curze will come back from the dead and help the Imperium.

Magnus is too damned arrogant to admit he was wrong. The one time he did, he changed his mind, gave in to Tzeentch, and teleported what was left of his legion to the Planet of Sorcerers.

Strain became issue because of the breach in webway. Before that Astronomicon was notably easier to control as Emperor could do that without being plugged into the golden throne.

Might be possible to have lesser psyker control it IF the breach caused by Magnus could be fixed. Too bad makers of webway aren't around for bit of fixing

There is a wonderful theory in Inferno , that supposes that when Magnus talks about remaining in constant psychic contact with the emperor when he was growing up, it was actually Tzeentch messing with him all along.

It's worth noting that "Inferno" is written from a "historial imperial perspective" meaning 90% of the actual fluff for Magnus (and by extention any of the black books about primarchs) is skewed and/or speculation.

is it? Russ would do what is nesscarily. but he'd also follow orders. I suspect the original orders where to bring Magnus back, in chains if nesscary, presumably the emperor would want Magnus on hand to plug into the webway portal so he could at the very least take a lunch break

It is strange that he'd send his executioners to bring Magnus back for a firm but loving spanking. If the Emperor thought the Thousand Sons didn't deserve to get exterminatused, surely a few Custodes would have sufficed.

Inferno explains what happened. The Emperor indeed asked just Magnus to be brought to Terra to be censured. Horus sent 5,000 people to the Censure Host (group formed by Wolves, Imperial Army, Custodes and SoS) with a missive; after reading it, Russ changed the orders from 'capture' to 'extermination'.

Valdor protested all the way, until he witnessed himself what the TS were doing and finally gave up trying to bring Magnus back.

Yes, and I think that bit of fluff is stupid. It makes no sense for the Emperor to send Russ to bring Magnus back for a chat. Unless they are trying to make the Emperor look like a complete idiot, which maybe he is.

He didn't send russ in for a chat. He sent russ as the head of a SWAT-team because he doesn't trust Magnus. Emps knows Magnus has a deal with Tzeentch even if Magnus doesn't realize it. So even if the the TS didn't put up a fight high risk of some other chaos servants trying it.
