Which army do you think has the coolest looking models and/or the best color scheme?

For me, it would be the latest Thousand Sons models. I love the color scheme, the Egyptian feel to them and the designs of the models. Some runner-ups would be The Black Legion, The Death Korps of Kreig, The Ultramarines, Alpha Legion, and The Tyranids.

Harlequins. The colours are just so brilliant and are a stark contrast to much of the game.

Tough. Tyranids are pretty great, probably the creepiest/most alien looking models.

As a full army fielded on the table a swarm of Nids with a mix of huge units of gaunts and stealers and big beasties is hard to beat.

Harliquens for sure, their model line is just amazing, second place dark elder

I like the look of giant horde armies myself.

Don't get me wrong, I like well painted models with lots of intricate details too, but there's also a place for an army that fills a table and is meant to be seen en masse from a step or two back.

'Nids are really good for that. I also really like the looks of giant Speed Freak ork armies.

Tyranids: The organics are beautifully portrayed in the more recent models.

Ad Mech: Both the Skitarii and Cult Mechanicus have a very cool retro-future look to them. If I ever start a new army, that'll be it.

My favorite would be eldar. Especially the vehicles. Second would be tau suits.

The Death Korps, gas masks and greatcoats look ace, alongside rows of cannons.

Dark Eldar: the entire line is great from the ships and "skin creations" down to the basic troops.

Death korps: they have to be mentioned. Love the WW2 feel. really great line with tons of details

The look of Dark Eldar and Nids is what drew me to the game, they are spectacular.

Aeldari. Sleek, organic shapes, and a wide myriads of color possibilities.

Second favorite would be Necrons because they are glowing green death robots

Tyranids.
Nothing beats a hoard of monsters for leaving an impression, especially when they have a vaguely matching colour scheme.

Nothing beats the multitude of colors of an Eldar aspect army. Too bad the minis are so outdated:(

One that is completely painted to a decent standard and has consistent basing on the models. I pretty much like all of the armies equally. At some point during my time as a wargamer, I have wanted to have a full tabletop army of each army. To me, the best looking ones are the ones that have love and effort put into them to make them look cohesive and awesome.

Doesn't make the minis bad (particularly if they're Jes Goodwin ones).

+1 for the Eldar.

Ultramarines.

I'd have to go with Tau. I love the sleek, futuristic look of their vehicles, armor, and battlesuits.

As for best Space Marines, I'd have to go with Dark Angels. I love the models with robes over their armor. Of course I'm biased since I play these guys!

I really like Hivefleet Kraken Tyranids. That's the color scheme I chose, and I really like the majority of the models, especially the big bugs like Mawlocs and Tervigons.

I also really like Imperial Fists. I know the yellow won't appeal to everyone, but to me they have the most striking color scheme of all the Space Marines.

Tyranids for their strong unified look. The basic design of a standard tyranid is cool anyway; fleshy underside, overlapping carapace plates on the back, eyes where the plates and face meet, big teeth and six limbs. It's the fact that practically every model has the same elements that ties it all together- a hormagaunt and a tyrannofex side by side quite obviously belong to the same faction

Dark eldar would be my second pick

Third is much harder. I want to say CSM but they're a mixed bag. Possibly skitarii, their infantry are awesome looking and there isn't anything I dislike

Yeah Tyranids

Especailly where it is a horde army, with a unified paint scheme where everything seems to meld into a massive blob of color, and you have to focus to pick out what units you are looking at across the table

Ramshackled weathered orks is what pulled me in. Their line is the most aesthetically pleasing. Crazy how many models can be made with none being the same.

Orks with a lot of (well made) conversions.

We get 2nd and 3rd options?
2nd is Orks, when they're well done they look amazing, when they aren't they still look good.
3rd is Space Wolves - I despise their 40k colours but quite like their 30k colours. I like TWC but they lose points for Santa Claws' sleigh.

Tyranids for me.

About the only thing holding me back from doing an army is that I just can't create a list which matches the visuals in my head - which is a large swarm comprised of all sorts of beast sizes. The point and FoC means there's always a compromise.

Now, if they made Gaunt absolute fodder (T2 type fodder and direct cheap) I could probably get round it!

From the main store only? Genestealer Cults. I love that their entire range is consistent & harmonious because it was released all at once.

From the entire GW catalogue? Has to be Death Korps. Those guys just look amazing. I wish GW would release them as a fully fledged, plastic sub-faction on the main store.

On these boards, I'm more used to seeing people say stuff like "I hate Tyranids, they don't belong in 40k!"

Usually the same people who think GunDamn Tau do belong.

I really like the look of a well painted Sisters of Battle army. I just know I couldn't do them justice.
