I quit all GW related games back in 2015 due to me thinking that 7th was to messy and it was the same list that you meet again and again.. True 8th will be more of the the same but now we have PRIMARCHS.. I was raving about the new papa smurf minature to my wife so she wanted to shut me up, so she bought him for my birthday, and boom i was back in the game. And this time as a Smurf player. And i love being back

To motivate me on getting my minatures done and building a good army i thought this was the best way to go.. To share my way back into the game with all the good people here at Dakka.

Besides my smurfs i have also bought a Grey Knights army so i can get in som smiting and get a chance to paint those Dreadknights. They are truly some awsome minatures.

Here is what i have ammased so far in Smurf terms.





















And in the pipeline i also have 30 standard marines in MK IV, a stormraven, a few landspeeders, 10 assault marines, Terminator libby, jump chaplain, footslugger chaplain and some Banners.

There is still a long ways to go before i get some models finished up to the standard that i want, and i will do my best to get some decent pictures of those models who are finished. I will work side by side with my Smurfs and GK so i can switch when i get to bored with painting blue but the smurfs will be my main army for the future.

I got 4 matched under my belt so far. 2 vs. Orks (1 Draw and 1 win) and 2 against Admech (2 Wins)

And i also need some advice. I was thinking about painting the GK pink as my Eldar because I do not want to paint them in boring silver og grey.. I had also thought about painted them non metalic but i am not that skilled as a painted to do that.

I will be showing what i have ammased in the GK army sometime this weekend as well.

And the reason behind the road bases are very simple..

The smurfs never lose so they are always on a the road in their victory parade

(and those models with gw bases will be switched over to road bases aswell)

Went to my local GW store and bought a silver spray.. Damn this makes life so much easyer



And i also got me a Space Marine Codex.. Love the new format. Alot of fluff..

I decided to paint the GK in the standard colour scheme.

Been looking trough the SM Dex. I like how they did not skimp on the fluff and the indept go though of how a smurf chapter i build up.

But there where a few things that cought my eye as od

A libby terminator is still more expencive than Tigurius,, he has +1 to deny and can reroll his powers. and a terminator libby has an invul. I would take Tigurius any day of the week over a termy lib.

The complete lack of biker upgrades

Maby i have not broken the code yet, but i can not se why i would ever take primaris over standard SM´s. The lack of options, transports and the pricing on Primaris makes them less attractive to me.

Does anyone know if Defenders of humanity works if the unit is embarked in a Rhino or razorback?

I am looking forward to seeing the rules for the full dreadknight army option in the new GK dex..

Going to order 1-2 dreadknights more tomorrow together with 2 venerable dreads, some devastators. And some scout bikers

Got som reinforcements for the GK as well as some objective markers from GW

And made a mailorder that will arrive in my local GW store at the same time as my GK dex

Started working again after a long vacation.. I guess I am getting old, because it takes more energy to paint i guess i just need to get back into the normal work rutine.

But i did get a small amout of work done
