It might be my kind of delusional brain that only does this, but does anyone else kind of imagine music playing in a kind of cinematic way for your armies when you have a game? I seriously imagine the battles in my head because well, It's kind of cool and I'm a diluted man-child.
If you guys do the same, what kind of music do you imagine accompanying your army?
(I feel like the drinking game should be if the song is metal take a shot, if it's Sabaton take two shots.)
You're certainly not alone in this. Even though I don't play them the second half of this theme will always be the Imperial Knight theme for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg6XhwxwS2k
At 03:28 you've got the quiet before the storm and the battle climaxes in the last 30 seconds of the song. It's so cheesy that it becomes cool.
For some reason, I find these three themes from Hollow Knight to really suit my armored Imperial Guard: I can see the imperial column try to pour through the ennemy lines or repel an assault dug-in, while taking heavy casualties, but still fighting back with all that they have got.
40k: Necrons/Imperial Guard/ Space marines
Bolt Action: Germany/ USA
Project Z.
"The Dakka Dive Bar is the only place you'll hear what's really going on in the underhive. Sure you might not find a good amasec but they grill a mean groxburger. Just watch for ratlings being thrown through windows and you'll be alright." Ciaphas Cain, probably.

You're not. If you're worried about your opponent using 'fake' rules, you're having fun the wrong way. This hobby isn't about rules. It's about buying Citadel miniatures.
Please report to your nearest GW store for attitude readjustment. Take your wallet.
Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Tell me that this chorus isn't perfect for Khorne Demonkin:
Prepare for attack
Your body will burn
Endless war
There's no return
Prepare for attack
Death will arrive
Your orders are clear
No way to hide
Fight till death
Blood for the Blood God!
Skulls for the Skull Throne!
I use a lot of Gundam soundtracks for the feel of my army. They tend to have a nice mix of classical instruments and guitar. Some series have some opera-esque vocals too, which adds to the gothic feel too. At least for my Space Marine armies. If I ran Space Wolves, I would totally use the Skyrim soundtrack though.
If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.
- Fox Mulder
Deathwatch - Dope's Debonaire - as they hurtle to a planet in a Thunderhawk gearing up with nades, ammo, etc.
Chaos Spacemarines - Nine Inch Nails, Burn
Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.
Sabaton the price of a mile. It's the perfect song for the death Korp of Krieg. I'd even go so far as to say it's their official theme song. Of course it helps that the video I linked is DKoK themed.
Had the primarchs not been scattered I could totally see certain of them performing for their brothers in the little park in the middle of their apartments.
You know Princes of the Universe would be in Fulgrim's repertoire.
Here we are, born to be kings
We're the princes of the universe
Here we belong, fighting to survive
In a world with the darkest powers
Heh
And here we are, we're the princes of the universe
Here we belong, fighting for survival
We've come to be the rulers of you all
I am immortal, I have inside me blood of kings, yeah, yeah
I have no rival, no man can be my equal
Take me to the future of you all
Born to be kings, princes of the universe
Fighting and free
Got your world in my hand
I'm here for your love and I'll make my stand
We were born to be princes of the universe
For Tyranids, I always imagine the meadow theme from bambi playing in the background.
