After about a year of playing sisters I've realized that Shield of Faith really doesn't work.

The anti-psyker part is functionally useless on anything but a low cast smite, and even then, only 1/6 times.
In most games the 6+ invulnerable is also almost useless. It's rare to be hit with anything with AP 4 or higher, and even shots from las cannons and plasma still leave sister tanks and infantry with a 6+ armor save. Better in cover.

My proposed change is the following.

Anti-psyker: The first time a unit is targeted with an enemy psychic power each turn, subtract 1d3 from the roll (or add 1d3 to the WC number) This ability can't be used with Deny the Witch.
This give a chance to stop a power, by making it more difficult to get off, but also doesn't stop saturation attempts.

Save. If a Sister of Battle was to be removed from the table, on a 6+ she remains instead at one wound. Much like the Graia from Adepta Mechanicus this would actually be relevant in game. Characters would still have their 4+ save from having a rosarius, but the regular infantry and tanks would gain extra durability. This is also more in line with how it used to work in previous editions.

I'm not sure about the need to buff the save; it's something that's nice to have, but very situational. I don't think it needs to be made effective all the time when, as you say, the armour save is better most of the time anyway. We have Spirit of the Martyr for recovering wounds/models.

In terms of the anti-psyker ability; I think it's fine as it is, but I'd maybe make it more powerful in a pure Sororitas/Ministorum detachment. For example, increasing it to 2D6 like an Inquisitor's Iron Will.

The cleanest way would probably be to make it an FnP roll that only applies to mortal wounds.

Keeps extra dice rolling to a minimum and avoids increasing the general toughness of the sisters while providing a measure of 'miracle' protection / psychic defense.

I agree with A.T., allow a 6+ fnp against all wounds a Sororitas model suffers, even mortal wounds. Drop the ridiculous deny the witch part. Our Strategem for it is fantastic and a 6+ against mortal wounds would be better against them anyways.

I have only had one chance to use deny the witch in 8ed (where my opponent rolled a 5 and successfully cast a psychic ability) I rolled a 2....

A ton of armies and a terrain habit...
