Subject: 2018 - A Warhammer Year in Review and Miniature of the Year poll
The year is very nearly at a close, and as 2019 rapidly approaches, we thought we’d round off by asking what was your favourite model of 2018.
The past year has seen loads of new releases across every game, with a huge number of stunning new models. But which was your personal favourite? As with last year, we want to hear which model caught your eye in 2018. Cast your vote, and we’ll announce the winner right here on the Warhammer Community website in January.

The female Knight Incantor is simply a really sweet looking figure, which added a ton of character to the Stormcast.

"By this point I'm convinced 100% that every single race in the 40k universe have somehow tapped into the ork ability to just have their tech work because they think it should."

Went with the star striders- I LOVE everything about them, and want to see 40k push into the direction of the lesser known and wonderful sides of itself.
I tend to give more respect to non monster-sized units, as they have to pack their character into a smaller package. Things like Morathi and the Great Unclean One can cheat just by having the shock value of being immense.

The Akhelian king gets my vote. So many great kits. I could have chosen, Morathi, the easy to build sequitors, the black coach, any of the Blackstone Fortress models, Lotann with pet Octopus, any of the ork buggies or the fungoid shaman. A very strong year this year. I can't think of a kit that was universally disliked.
2019 may already be decided though. If GW puts our a better kit than the Gobbapalooza, I will be amazed.

Dahyak Grekh for me; such a brilliantly characterful model, but completely consistent with the existing Kroot design. To be honest, could have voted for pretty much anything in Blackstone Fortress, they really knocked it out of the park with that one!

Infernal Enrapturess was my favorite.
But it was close, Custodes Bikers and Morathi are such great miniatures.. man they released lots of great stuff in 2018.
The new Sector Imperialis terrain is easily my favorite from a modeling perspective this year. Morathi was my first instinct, but not only have I never assembled it, it looks hard to paint. The Sector Imperialis is just a joy to build though and looks great with varying amounts of effort put into it. Sadly, there wasn’t just one option for them, so I went with the Sanctum set.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

This, because he is a good boy, and the only model I wanted from Rogue Trader. I'm happy I managed to snap one up recently.
Also, I was kind of surprised to find that he's anatomically correct. I've always found it weird how animal toys, models, etc. rarely are - especially in a setting that's perfectly fine with brutal violence and all things Slaanesh. It's a minor (and maybe kind of odd) thing, sure, but I appreciated that bit of realism, strange as it may sound. Sometimes it's the little details that count - like dog-balls, apparently.
Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
