There would be my WIP and complete minis for my IG regiment and may be something else.
There new commy model I almost complete last few days. My potatoephone oversaturate red so it's a bit different in reality

Good luck kabaakaba.

Always remind yourself that building and painting a guard army is a marathon and not a sprint.

Cheers,

CB

Thanks. Due to my plan it's definitely be a marathon or even triathlon run.

Good start, he looks good.

What kind of guard army are you going for foot slogger, mechanised or a mixture?

(I had the same problem with my phone so had to resort to using a proper camera - stupid iPhones.....!)

Started on foot regiment with artillery and some sentinels and Valkyrie. It's 1400 points not(at least what's is already on shelf and at least primed or some base colours is added.

There is some HQ I worked on, all old metals or finecast. Best IG HQ models so far I think. Always love those lord commissars with power fist and the one in cloak.

Also complete first blob of 20 guys. But not all on photo right now.

Well, it's useless with current rules, it's huge and hard to move to and from flgs but it's beautiful aircraft, the only currently available to play I really like. Somehow I managed not mess it to hard while painting. Painting large models with brush is a pain. But I have no airbrush.

Great job on the painting. I love an IG thread. The old metal commissars had so much character in them too...

Here is some progress over regiment. Build and paint first FOB mini. Really have fun while painting it. More like small dioramas. And all my work is hecked cause my potatoephone oversaturate like hell.

I do enjoy heavy weapons teams. Like you said they are small dioramas

I think I need lightbox or something to photoing things cause my phone rejected do it with ambient light turning everything oversaturated and soapy.

Working on another bunch of cadians, now it's squad yellow. Somehow ya can normally see faces but not cloth or armour gradients. Idk how to photo it.
Spoiler:

Also would be glad if someone explain me how to hide under spoiler directly uploaded photos.

The faces look really good, as does the cleanliness of you paintjob. Really nice work. It might be the pics, but the blue armor plates look a little too... how should I say it... uniform? In the sense that there are no discernable lighter and darker blueish parts. Is this a concious decision?
Don't get me wrong, I won't criticise your paint job that is miles ahead of mine, I was just wondering.

God no, please criticize me!
Also there is 5 damn blue shades actually from dark blue in recesses to very bright sky blue. My phone hate blue and red and make them flat.

Ah, I expected something like this, especially given how well the other parts are painted.

As mentioned before: great work, the paintscheme works really well

Thanks. My mine issue with this scheme is blue. Cause I can't find right highlight colour. I'm done with grey and now just need optimize pipline to reduce painting time.

As an unrepentant champion of the Imperial Guard, I can't pass up another good P&M blog for them.

March on, good sir, march on!

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

Wow, lots of great progress in here!

Lovely HQ group you have there. Imperial Guard get some of the best/most characterful sculpts and you've done them justice.

First blob of infantry looks great - and the markings of the aircraft are a standout.

Thanks for sharing - looking forward to seeing the horde continue to grow!

Ok, I doesn't complicated this guy, but finally I found optimal varnish/water ratio so it's not eat all small details(at least not all details). And my blue still looking ugly as me.. grey is good but if I speed up there is too much errors.
There is not much details but I managed get picture with grey looking almost like it's irl, and blue shows multiple colours.

I tried may be 20 differen before come to this. Including some inadequate like toxic green and beige or pinkish purple with yellow. And some common like khaki and various green and grey. I like red and dark grey but it's look too blood pact so I choose this instead. Actually whole first blob was different colour initially. I make their bedrolls on back different colours every pack of 10 to easier identify them on table. Like current squad is yellow. And first group are orange and red teams.
Still not decided regiment iconography, it's required do some fluff for them to represent that fluff in logo and flag.

My first attempt for guard colors was black armor on grey fatigues.

The bright color keeps the soldiers from looking too drab.

The last pic definitly does the armor plating more justice. Nice work. I'm also impressed by your speed, pretty cool that you can churn these out at that quality almost daily.
