Defend the Commonwealth!
The opening of the Rifts has inured the people of Britain and its many overseas territories to new hardships of war.
Enduring, British resolve is now at an all time high, and they stand ready to unleash their own new weapons of war upon the dread force of the Axis and the Empire of Japan.
Konflikt' 47 Wave 2 products, now on pre-order individually.
https://bit.ly/3lLuxAQ

Wave 2 is the separate kits from the British Commonwealth starter army box, minus the Humber Mk VII.

Let's see what we've been teasing this week in all its glory!
This fantastic illustration by Davide Manna will be available in art print form, exclusively with pre-orders of the upcoming Konflikt '47 supplement - The Rift War Volume One: Festung Europa.
Next week we'll be taking a look at the book itself. Maybe that date was significant...

Spoiler:

Will we get DLC before Russia gets their box?

Curious to see what is going to be in this supplement and if any new plastics will come with it. I kinda hope it's not plastic zombies though, as I just built and painted a dozen of the current metal ones. Unfortunately the Soviets probably won't get anything until after this new supplement is released.

Warlord Games wrote:The Rift War Volume One: Festung Europa will be available to pre-order from January 30th! Alongside this incredible tome will be not only the fantastic art print pre-order bonus we've already shown off, but also our traditional special book miniature, who you'll meet next week.
To whet your appetite, here's a little shot from the book photography sessions - we think this might be of interest to Axis players...

Those zombies up top are new, so I guess we're getting plastic zombies. From the looks of it they don't seem too out of place with the old ones. Valrak visited the WG headquarters and said there will be at least 12 new plastic kits for K47 this year.

Thanks Thargrim - I don't suppose you know the best way to see the rest of Valrak's rumours?

The source was this video, but there isn't much info as he likely signed an NDA. I'm hoping for some reveal articles directly from WG this coming week.

Valrak says the intention is for the expansion books to be like the Imperial Armour books.

Rumours (not just from Valrak) include:
PDF Lists will be updated - nothing locked behind the books
~12 Plastic kits coming this year (across all factions)
British getting close combat and command robots
Germans getting different types of zombies

Personally I'd like to see the Jackal/Coyote/Guardian redone in plastic.

The British weird war units do look pretty dated, tbh.
The Mk2 infantry and the new galahads look cool though.

Supposedly we're getting a roadmap on Friday too. So we should get some indication about when the Soviets get a wave of releases.

I think I want Schwertruppen in plastic the most.

Valrak really hyped this - it's always hard to tell given his enthusiasm is dialed up to 11 by default, but it seemed genuine. As a former historical gamer, I keep trying to dip my toe into Bolt Action, and keep finding the models unsatisfying. Their plastics still seem rather crude - I'm not sure they really justify the Imperial Armour treatment. But like Valrak I'd be very interested in seeing British Commonwealth K47 models in plastic.

Thank you Thargrim and Beast_gts

Really great to see how much buzz there has been about this game on SM (I haven't seen this much since the Epic scale games were first released). With the names involved and the amount of coverage Warlord seem to be giving it hopefully it will build some momentum.

The clincher for me is whether or not the game is actually fun to play - something that seems to get overlooked, or is simply not a consideration, for a lot of new games these days!

So far I'm enjoying it - even if it is another game where my dice hate me! It's possible to make unfun 'skew' lists (all Stahltruppen, for example) but no worse than other games.

We're continuing our proud tradition of special book figures with this exclusive new Roberta Wells sculpt, only available when you purchase the book. Wells plays a key role in the evolving story of Konflikt '47, and this figure reflects her as she's depicted in Festung Europa.

Spoiler:

I'm disappointed that it's not a new character.

That mini reminds me of Alastor Moody, lol. It's an okay figure, doesn't excite me all that much though.

Interesting that there's no British or Soviet zombies.

Hopefully the plastic Soviet bloc infantry is daughters of the motherland. Pretty happy with the roadmap overall though, considering that it doesn't include all the resin releases on top of all of that.

The zombies appear to have an new armor design for the schwertruppen though, maybe a new set of those will come in resin.

Soviets have ghouls instead (I think that's what Siberian terrors are?) and the British use AI and robots, so undead wouldn't make sense in fluff or aesthetic.

They still use normie troops as well though, no?

Was thinking they may end up doing a second box of them at some point.

The Axis also uses normal troops.
Basically when making a K47 list you have to select an officer and 2 advanced or specialist infantry (which are either dudes in power armour or zombie / robot / ghoul dudes) and from there you can fill your list with just normal dudes with guns and conventional tanks.

So an axis list can just have 2 Stahltruppen units and a bunch of basic infantry as filler.
Or 2 squads of bat monsters and a bunch of dudes with k98s.
Or go full necromancer with nothing but zombies and apparently they get mad scientists now?

There was an article on Warlord community about a guy's K47 hungarian army. It was literally just a Bolt Action army with some Stahltruppen and a walker.

There's rumours that the Totenrotte commander can make a Totenkorps unit scoring, and that the Nachtzehrer can make more zombies.

My first few games were just my old US army with a couple of Firefly squads dropped in - basic Shermans are OK. We joke that whoever brings the most normal infantry gets the moral victory.

They could be saving them for the Japanese Shibito.

Wait, are we talking about British and Soviet zombies as undead choices for British and Soviet armies, or zombified British and Soviet soldiers?

Because those are two very different things.

Looks like there might be enough spare heads & arms to zombify some normal bodies as well.

There is a Firefly zombie in there.
