Is there any way to prevent saint celestine from coming back other than a failed LD roll?

Drano doesn't exactly scream "toy" to me.

Hit her with a C'tan. Anyone that looses their last wound to a C'tan can not get it back in any way.

I thought C'Tan's only could stop wargear from saving the last wound. Celestine actually dies then comes back to life by innate abilities and not wargear.

Do you really care that much about a character that is over 200 points and only gets a flamer and 3x S5 attacks in combat?

She's got wicked saves, but is easy to wound. Any AP2 gun or powerfist (even an IG fist) will instakill her half the time. One powerfist in cc should do the same - she can even be instakilled by an Imperial Guard powerfist!

She only comes back with 1 wound, so she's even easier to dispatch again. Even standard weapons will work well in large numbers, with her low Toughness - 6 wounds and she's statistically dead again. One full unit of Imperial Guard rapidfiring lasguns only has a 5/6 chance of putting her back in reserve.

And when she's off the table, she has to start rolling reserves at 4+ on her next turn. If she comes back more than once in a game then your opponent is lucky with his dice.

So: instakill her with a couple of AP2 shots or powerfist/eviscerator early in the game, then hose her with rapidfire troop weapons when she comes back.

Of course, if you play some silly race that doesn't carry power weapons for CC, then you might be in a bit of trouble

i think she would be great to take in a themed army based on serephim, but no i see no way for her to stay dead except running out of turns or failed leadership.
