No new maps.
Only two new guns (the M-11 Suppressor and the M7 Lancer) among the "seven new weapons!". Four of them (Venom, Lancer, Spitfire, and Blood Pack Punisher) are Ultra Rares.
Even the "new characters" aren't.
The Alliance Infiltration Unit is not even a reskin. It's the exact model you get from the Alternate Appearance Pack for EDI.
The Talon is a reskin of Zaeed from ME2.
Juggernaut is a resize of the Prime with the antennae removed.
List goes on.
But really. They cannot have paid MP DLC. They have explained before that they cannot do that without fracturing the playerbase to an unacceptable amount.
At the very least, we are going to get a "Gift Pack" when you have the DLC installed.

Other companies have a matchmaking framework in place which can support doing such things.
BioWare does not have that in this iteration of Mass Effect 3. Add to it that Microsoft was a big proponent for the free multiplayer aspect of Mass Effect 3 and you have two very big reasons why the free DLC aspect exists.
But remember, download the Reckoning DLC tomorrow and go to the in-game store. There is a "Gift Pack" in there as a freebie from the developers, as an early celebration of the game's one year anniversary. The devs are not saying what is in the Gift Pack, but one hinted that it does at least contain an Ultra Rare of some kind.
Well my free thingamabob was a Talon Mercenary. Kanluwen tried his best to convince me it's not so bad but well....normally I'd say something like "It's better than a kick in the nuts" but....ya, it's pretty much the same as that.
In terms of this DLC, I'm enjoying the more tactical play of the Talon and the tankiness of the Juggernaut.
Some experimenting has made me a fan of the Krogan Warlord, and I knew I would enjoy the Collector a bit from the start.
If you spec the Krogan right, he can be a blast. Just be careful of the instakillers that you can't light-melee-combo to death in one pass (so basically Banshees and Atlas Mechs.. brutes depending on the build but they can be killed with the right combo of gear and powers). They seem to be literally be drawn to krogans even when you're not attacking them and others are.

I've been in a bit of a rut and not wanting to play shooters for a while, and finally tried to break out of it by playing ME again (I still need to get through it and ME2 so I can have a coherent character for ME3, I'm weird I know), and the fething thing keeps crashing on run. I'm verifying local game cache right now.
FML.

It's a little weird. I know my Shepard didn't take any time off during the war for shore leave. Tens of thousands of people were dying every hour on Earth. I felt like Shepard wasn't even taking time to sleep during ME3.

I dunno. My Shepard seemed to enjoy sleeping through the night before each big finale mission but that might be due more to the company during those particular evenings. Those friends are all supposedly back for this DLC...
Playing through as a Sentinel. I forgot how awesome Mass Effect was. As far as trying to force myself to start to play shooters again, this is a pretty great choice

Anyone beat the new DLC? Im interested if its good or not.
Im also confused as hell on what will happen if Wrex is dead for me. I do NOT want Wreav (personally I dont even want Wrex's name on my memorial wall, who was the ass hat who put that up?)
I was wondering about this myself. It looks pretty cool, and the trailer tugs at my nostalgia strings... but apparently it's 4g for the download or something? According to Kotaku you need to download 2 seperate components at 2 g each.
Hell, my 360 is the old 10g. Between Mass Effect and Halo 4 thats the majority of my hard drive.
