If you combine the top half of the new sculpt, and the bottom half of the old one, you may get one partly decent sculpt out of it

I personally didn't think the Siege sculpt was that bad, I was kinda hoping it was the Siege2 sculpt personally

Not bad, just very static It was also very odd, IMO, that he wasn't even holding(much less using) his signature weapon.

I prefer the old sculpt to this new one myself. Guess I'm going to have to pick it up before it goes OOP.

Well, I think I prefer the old Thags model, but I do like that they're doing resculpts of the older models. The new fiona looks great.

The original thags looks way better. This one looks goofy and it looks like they enlarged his hand even more.

I love the cyriss battle engine though. The little legs underneath are a great touch.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

Old Thags was craptastic. This one is a massive improvement in my opinion.

That Convergence battle engine is amazing. And it's all plastic, not resin.

That forced perspective isn't really doing him any favors either...

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Agree. I like how it matches eThags more than the original.

Yes - it'll be interesting to find out more about this release. It's in the much rumored "new plastic." Whether this is "proper" plastic, or some other formulation remains to be seen.

But two things worth noting right off the bat:
1) They didn't feel the need to make any pieces out of resin, or metal.
2) At $70 it's $15-25 cheaper than all the other battle engines.

Those alone are enough to make excited at future prospects.

Anyone know if they said anything about a new DEneghra sculpt? They've yet to do one that isnt just straight up terrible.

Not playing Hordes but I presume that painter model is just a collecter's item?

Those troll fire eaters are lovely models. Picked up a Troll faction a few years ago but mainly have them boxed away. Will definitely pick up some of those new models and dust off my old ones!

Maybe so, but we really don't need a 4th pDenny sculpt before other models get a 2nd.

That painter of Everblight mini is just straight up cool.

And now it's confirmed from a live stream from warmachine weekend - the Cyriss Battle Engine is made using a new type of plastic - on a Sprue. Also, they're planning on using it for all mechanical models like warjacks from here on! Probably why we're still waiting for the Warjack kits from Vengence. Very good news

Neat, that's a big move for PP.
Can't imagine that it's cost effective to replace their existing horrible plastic kits though.

Hilarious that they've produced a Golden Demon mini.

I kind of wish Thags just had a hole in his hands for holding your paint brush. That would make a bangin' brush rest.

And I cannot say how happy I am that PP is finally going in for proper HIPS models. The future is looking very bright for them; I am excited at the prospect of moaning about these very glory days some 15 years from now on Dakka!

The new style stuff is currently only planned for mechanical based models(ie. Warjacks). Current kits and organics will continue to use the PVC, though it's not entirely out of the question that there may be some organics in the future using the new stuff.

They're probably not going to but I really want them to redo all the CoC vectors in the new plastic...

Looking forward to a Grolar on a sprue though!
