Likely around the end of the year.

More likely it will be September/October for N3 rather than November/December.

That is when they try to release books, going off of past trends. Campaign: Paradiso had some significant issues that related to the printer and pushed it back a bit further.

Well September is out, we might get perorders then. But, they would have to start the perviews right after Gen-Con as they like to give a notice before pre-order go up for the month.

Most of the Alpha Legion Operatives at Gencon this year excel at Ninja Shopping, and I'm not sure how good they'll be at Intel Gathering, especially for INFINITY.

Still, Gencon coverage for Infinity tends to be very good, so we should be OK!

As far as we know, there aren't any surprises coming from GenCon, though.

What's all that jazz on the center table? Are those Dire Foes boxes? Looks like there are books of some type on said table; perhaps the starter rules for O:I?
The stuff on the left seems to be blister packs. Obviously there's piles of O:I boxes on the right.

Looks like they have that awesome crashed-spacecraft demo table that was shown off a while back.

Really wish I was at the show! Perhaps one year will make the trip...

Seems like some I:O booklets on the left (I:O box is available now after all), an unidentified boxed set that may be the Penthesilea+CosplayBolt bundle, and a bunch of blisters of Penthesilea and CosplayBolt. Some advertisements too.

This is jumping back a bit, but do we have any word on if the O:I scenarios are going to be tied strongly to the minis in the box, or do we think that subbing out equivalents from different factions would be feasible?

Pre-ordered it at my FLGS but they are just saying 'September' for an expected arrival date. I can't wait!

The scenarios will be a slow escalation and strongly tied to the models.

We know the first mission is just a simple 3v3 deathmatch betwen Fusiliers and Alguaciles. I'm pretty sure you can swap those out for Ghulam or Zhanshi.

Later missions will be quite model-specific introducing TO: Camo and such. We also know the last mission will incorporate the 'special' limited Corporate Security model.

You could always proxy, but the lists are supposedly built for you. All that being said, the scenarios themselves should easily be vanilla enough that you can just build any list and go.

CB is sharing space with Battlefoam again this year*. But what a nice job they have done with their partial booth.

Can anybody count the number of O:I boxes in the photo? From what I can tell/guess/sort of count, they may have 250 boxes there, stacked and/or displayed. I hope they sell out, but not before my ninja buys my copy.

One of the Mods at the DataSphere has promised coverage, so there is that to fall back on. Real news will be the seminar on Saturday or Sunday?

*A whole week-end with Romeo...

Got to love the stacks of books and Icestorm, hope they sell out. If they do maybe they will just get their own booth next year.

Not really, we knew about all the books and Icestorm a few months before they went on pre-order, only change is Icestorm gets more then a month of pre-orders and they were able to get it out in time for Gen-Con, unlike having to push Paradiso back and missing it.

If they are trying for a release available here in the US in December, they will announce it in October as a release for November. They intend to announce something at GenCon. If not the N3 release date, then what? Acheron Falls news? Another Art Book? We'll know in 4 days.

Perhaps the blisters & boxes at their booth are some of the units the recommended for expanding on the force in O:I. Stuff like the iguana, interventors, jotum & auxilas.

They're obviously selling the special cosplay bolt. You can see the price $20. I hope that costume came out well.

Wishful thinking had me seeing the new N3 books on the table :-/

I'm pretty excited too! I don't mind using the provided armies... it'll probably make learning easier, especially if they have any sort of datafaxes for the troops and their gear.

They've shown a page from the intro rules booklet that fleshes out each of the forces in the box into a full 10 model force via making recommendations on new units.

Having the book on me, I can tell you that it works with any models. The scenarios are very easy, aimed at introducing different rules. As long as you introduce the necessary rules (LI, HI, SK + AD Troop) I don't see a problem.

I did an Icestorm demo this weekend with 3 Ghulam and a Jannissary on one side, and 3 Kamael and Ectros on the other. I was using the rules provided for the units in the booklet, though.

I take it there are no rules for teardrop weapons/mines in O:I?

Nope. Those templates are also not included in the box. There is a circular template with different numbers, though.
