How about six webway portals to make a 22" impassable line?
How are the harlequins running in game? I've struggled to find a place for them in the DEldar codex.

Yeah foxtale has got the right idea. The wracks can even be incorperated in the fluff pretty easily. The egyptians had slaves that built pyramids for them, why cant the scarab prince have captured vect folllowers to accompany him on his raids?

Yeah that is what I was thinking, the haemonculi being like slave drivers. The harlequins are terrifying my regular opponents. I think they've been built into something more than they are.
I have a lot of luck with the harlequin kisses rending, which always helps. The flip belts are mint if you deploy the webway close to cover. Also the hellions deploy the same way most of the time, they just fly right over the top. I've found that speed more than makes up for fragility. A raider full of incubi is going to take a solid hiding, and they are expensive to run. Incubi deploying by webway would be cool. Basically in my list, the harlies have replaced them. For fluff reasons and the fact that my old army used to run a ten man unit of incubi and with the new dex I wanted to change things up a bit. Many opponents that hear I play a dark eldar army pack their squads full of anti-tank dakka, first mistake. They then shoot my raiders down where I want them, mobile cover? Yes please. It's like shaking a wasp hive. Out comes angry rapid firing bastards clad in bone, Cyrax the Prince himself and with him comes a big blue bubble that spits death where I want it.
If I'm going to play aggressively I take flickerfields, as they are good up close. If I'm planning to do a second turn rush I will take nightshields and shoot from afar, moving only to deploy the portal. All a themed army changes are your tactics. You can win with the above list. I've now modified it to have less warriors, and a second unit of harlies. Try keeping an objective on the last turn from those quick dudes.

You don't spend years in the webway following the voice of Cegorach in your head without picking up a few mad hit and run tactics! Haha but in all seriousness you'll work out ways of playing your own army.
How's the chronos? I tried one once and I found it a little disappointing. I didn't get one token out of the thing!

The chronos has almost never disappointed (and the one time was against a Trygon). I either run it up a flank or send it out through the webway. The webway is best, I find.
I usually get about 3-5 pain points in a game from it, which go into my Wyches (Furious Charge is NASTY with +1S drugged up girls), Wracks, Talos, Chronos and Incubi. I often find myself running out of targets to give pain points to.
I give it all the upgrades and find that a chronos, deployed from a webway, will kill at least 1 MEQ or weaker with each of its guns, every turn. Both Spirit guns are very powerful because of their AP3.

It's getting pretty close to the release date for the plastic kits (both the new Tomb Kings Scorpion and of the Talos/Chronos kit). Might be worth waiting to see what they both look like.
Personally I can hardly wait. I want to build another two pain engines and run a Chronos and two CCW-Heatlance-Razorflail Taloi with webway delivery.
The plastic tomb kings release sounds like it'll give you a lot of thematic bitz to play with. (Scorp, Bone Giant, Tomb Guard.)

One of my first warhammer collections was a tomb kings army. Never actually played a game with it. I'm looking forwards to collecting bits and pieces to help build my dark eldar;s theme.

Eternal life, for fallen Khaine,
Brother, sister, eternal pain,
Colour of deliverance, in vein,

Death whispers, nothing more to gain,
Scarab Prince has come to reign.

Wow, that first image of the Sphinx looked pretty awful (the one where they're riding it. ._.) But seeing its other forms, how amazing would that chest piece and death mask be for a Talos conversion?
I'm also really impressed with the Tomb Guard, and I'm already wondering how I'm going to use their weapons and shields. Perhaps with Incubi, or maybe with Banshees? I just don't know!
How many of those vultures will we need to collect for Razorwings???

How does it go if one were to put it together with the intention of making it a Raider/Ravager kit? ie. useful as either without proxying.

The gun pods sort of clip into the brace so you can in theory if you leave them unglued, remove them. Then you get a raider...

After playing through six games now with a revised list that includes two units of harlequins, I must say when deployed out of a web-way portal they can be absolutely devastating.
The ability to ignore cover grants some sick kills through terrain should the cowards hide from their wrath.
Add a shadowseer and their main weakness (bolter fire and the equivalent) soon becomes a lot less of a threat due to veil of tears.
Winning combat and crushing the remaining, barely living foes, is all the more easier with their furious charge ability.
Hey presto, rending weapons for as many as I can fit in a list...
Free power weapon with my troupe masters? Yes please. Watch them carve the enemy into the likeness of Cegorach.
Did someone say melta? Yeah two melta pistols per troupe.
All this gets hit and run? And 5+ Invulnerable saves?
Who wouldn't take them?! That in itself would be madness.

true, but then you have the ability to drop a webway portal just about anywhere on the board that you like. That in itself is a major advantage over regular Eldar who cannot do the same, why they can't do this i don't know. Still the fact of the matter is that Harlequins in an Eldar army have to go the rough route which is to slog their way across the board and keep to terrain as much as possible, meanwhile the enemy just keeps moving his units away from them, making them useless. The only other alternative is to load them into a wave serpent/w star engines and vectored engines, then jump across the table as fast as you can, so that next turn your harlies can spill out the back of the thing and do their job. Me personally, I'd rather have the webway portal, even if my Eldar would be limited to just 1 of the blasted things, it would help immensely.

I was referring to their effectiveness in a dark eldar list. I'm pretty sure the eldar will get a wwp when a newer codex is written. It seems silly that they don't have it. I play an eldar opponent regularly and to be honest, I fear howling banshees. He doesn't use them... I think they'd easily shut down harlequins with their masks effects. The shadowseer should help their squishyness somewhat. WWP is an essential tool and fits the fluff perfectly. Why wouldn't dudes that live in the webway use a portal?
