Four of us big-tournament first timers will be coming down from East Texas. Can't wait to get in the mix and see what all the fuss is about.

Games up here are events that involve a lot of joking, shooting the breeze, pausing for treats or eats, etc. They usually last 3 1/2 to 4 hours for 2k points. I think we can do it in 2 1/4, but it'll feel like sliding down a vasaline cliff wearing teflon boots.

I think you'll have a good time. It is an adjustment to play without breaks, but you're Texans, so I have confidence in you.

@ Smitty0305 - We have not posted the missions. We're not going to do so. The primers that Darkwynn posted a long time ago in this thread are a pretty good idea of the missions, though.
Scoring is as posted in the rules packet. We don't have any really crazy objectives in the missions.

@ Late Lucy - Online registration is Offline, but we can still shoehorn in a few more people. Email me at wargamescon and I'll get you on the list.

The competition for the "You list is what is wrong with 40K" award is already pretty fierce, even with a significant number of lovely people not submitting their GK monstrosities for early review.

I'm glad there's a narrative tournament for many reasons:

1) I get to field my Armored Company!! YAY!!!
2) I can stay away from you all crazies in the GT! Not that there's anything wrong with it, but some of us can't take the pressure of a major GT.

Especially if we can't field our unreasonably huge invesment in IG tanks...
