I'll help with the tree, but I've got to at least finish the basic outline of the Dwarven City first. And I mean I need to get it to the point where anyone can come along and copy the design without having it get bugged.

Added another ~15 layers to the titan legs, upper sponsons are on and a few more layers and I can cap them off and start with the stumpy thighs and such.
As such, I am offering a bounty for cats
6 diamonds to bring 2 cats to the titan build site and cage them for breeding, build cage anywhere in the large field before the titan legs
1 diamond for 4 stacks of yellow wool
1 diamond for 4 stacks of orange wool
1 diamond for 4 stacks of green wool
Any donations can be deposited in the cests in the right titan foot.
I will soon need people to start decorating and enhancing the interior of the legs while I move on to build the structure of the hips and torso. Pm if interested

Creepers hate me, but I'm competent enough to kill them most of the time.
Haven't been killed by creepers in ages. Usualyl if I die it's because I'm in the nether hunting for glowstone.

Anyone have a good video tutorial for double piston doors?
As in, first set of sticky pistons retract, then another set pull the first set of sticky pistons back, allowing the moving wall to be flush with the wall of the building.

Ugh, almost every goddamned video tutorial I see is voiced by a prepubescent twit >.< half the time filling the damn vid up with "and um" repeated ad infinitum.

Hmm, I was wrong, sparklez didn't do a tutorial...
I think I coulf figure it out
Altough the design I use consists of, what, 6 sticky pitons per side, so 12 in total
but It could only ever be 2 wide, but it could go as high as you want
Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, you could probably do that with 1 set of sticky pistons, you just need to invert the rs signal

The idea is to have a three tall, two wide section of the wall that is pulled back by the first set of pistons, and then the pistons and the blocks are pulled back by a second set which is set on a short delay or somesuch.

i tried the double piston door and it glitches too much to work properly, that being said it is easier to do a horizontal double piston door than a vertical due to a non-powered sticky piston being no longer sticky.
With the redstone repeater, it's much more doable now. For me it's just redstone placement that is giving me problems.
The repeater allows you to time the pistons so they pull the blocks at the appropriate time.

That inventory of red brick blocks was not fun to lose.
I've already gone over how that wasn't really my fault
Plus since a few months before the new server, I barely ever died unless a creeper took me by surprise or I ran into a horde because I was bored. Though yes, before that I died an insane amount of times.

The problem is the redstone wiring, rather than the piston placement. I can get it to work, actually-- I just need to get it to work while still being able to move beyond the doors, heh.
Ugh, I just noticed that my copy/pasting messed up the decription. Ah well.
Stage one is deactivated, the wall is flush. Stage two, the wall retracts. Stage three, the second set of pistons retracts both the wall and the first piston set.

Okay, I got it to work. It looks a bit wonky when activated but it still works.
Screenshots when I ensure there's no bugs.

You do realize that that type of door was one of the first things to be done when Pistons were officially added to the game, right? Haatfilms, the Yogscast, and a half-dozen other major minecraft presenters all did tutorials on them. And they're much simpler than what you're doing.

If they're so common, link to a video tutorial. The ones I found were all a bunch of whiny brats who couldn't speak properly in to their gakky mics.
