Got my stuff today! Don't really care about shipping notifications, for me thats a -1 on something that would otherwise be an 11/10 on speed of KS and just the overall quality of the KS. CMON showing how it should be done I think, and am struggling to think of one that has been anything like as well handled (and I have backed a lot!)

My only (very slight) beef is with the wastage of foreign language cards. Yes I throw out piles of advertising crap that gets posted through my door every week, but it just seems wasteful, again considering the quality of the card stock and colour print. So a -1 for that, also -0.5 for the American flag next to the English text on the back of the box. When the hell did that start happening?

I find the foreign language cards handy, they allow people to use someones spare cards without buying the models (if they already have a suitable model)

Plus i am sure it makes it easier to have 1 code for 1 item ratyer than 1 of each language for each item, it just invites inventory mistakes, packing errors, pick errors, regional stock errors. Much easier to spend a couple if extra cents

Nice, my label is from the 26th as well, but hasn't started moving yet. Wonder if the 5 middle containers labels were all printed at the same time. Guessing either some got held up in customs and/or FedEx can only move a certain number of packages from them a day.

@triple9, everything was packed in China, so I think hey just printed everything in one batch and had to wait for the container and to get it all unloaded stuck on.

I'm sure the mailman hates them right now , mine shows coming USPS not fedex.

Picked mine up at the post office this morning. Even played the demo game with the kids before work. I'll have to retread rules, but all was fun and we all loved the dashboards.

Anyone know when the Special Guest boxes will be available for us retail plebs in the UK? The French/Spanish site Edge seem to have them for preorder but there's no indication of a release date on the translated pages.

Just received tracking details for my wave 2 EU delivery. Looks like it was loaded up on a van in Germany on Monday.

I was hoping that it would arrive tomorrow as I have the day off (and I could try to find places to put all the boxes before my partner comes back from her trip) but end of the week / early next is fine with me.

Got mine last week, have already played a game with all not-Monty Python figs . The Ratbomination filled in as the killer bunny. Had a great time, and my kids enjoyed it as well.

Be sure to tailor your monster deck to your groups tastes, and not just throw every card in it. All those big nasty abominations and unique necromancers all come with their own cards. We played last week with the base deck + wolves, Wolfbominations, Ratbominations, and the unique necromancers and we didn't have a phase of spawning that didn't include a combination of at least two of them.

I made the wooden bunny for a homebrewed adventure, it's the exit point for the Python heroes. It gives the actors rotten so they can hide inside.

I'm starting to get angry, it has been well over a week now that I found out that they mailed my pledge to the wrong address. Heck it went to the wrong country. I've been trying to contact them multiple times about this to no avail.

I got an email yesterday saying it has been shipped.
So, they're very slow at responding.

There was a thread over on the Facebook page where someone was complaining about it being 18 months and hadn't received his pledge. It turns out he not only did not fill out the pledge manager, but he didn't even know what the pledge manager was.

Hey all. I kinda have a scattered attention span when it comes to board gaming and rarely commit most of time to one. I'm curious if it'd be worth the investment to get the various expansion content if I play maybe once a month or less? Thanks.

Probably not. Play out the base game first. Also look at fanmade content. CMON may have another Zombicide Black Plague KS, and you'll get more stuff for your gaming dollar!

There is a a PDF of a new expansion on the KS updates:

Hail Survivors!

We are pleased to announce that the second extra campaign unlocked during the Kickstarter is now online for all backers to enjoy! The Fire God is a campaign that utilizes the Wulfsburg expansion to put the Survivors through a fiery test!
I'll have to go through the stretch goals to see what we have yet to see.

Have to say have been playing Z:BP an awful lot recently and having a tremendous amount of fun with it.

Especially with people that don't normally play board games, it's just so easy to pick up that within 10 minutes you are 'discussing' which one of you gets to try and slow the zombies while the rest leg it! And the characters and artwork are so well designed that it can't but help but pull players in.

Will be interesting to see how it goes lastability-wise (and if the difficulty of the quests increases as you play through).

We played about 6 games (3 players) 2 much preferred normal Zombicide, 1 preferred BP.

Things I didnt like
1 - Fantasy element is a thin skin. For me fantasy is about classes, mages, fighters etc. Im BP anyone can wield a 2 handed sword and anyone can cast spells. It just didnt feel 'fantasy' to me.

2 - We found the zombie spawn deck to be unforgiving. within 3 turns we often had a necro appearing which bumps the spawn points from 3 to 4 then you get double spawns which lead into more double spawns and then there are 2 blue level abominations. All of this is happening before we even really got a chance to search for some better weapons.

Note: we only used base game contents, no expansion cards/sets

Overall the components are better in BP but I much prefer normal zombicide and so I sold my knight pledge.

Counterpoints, also based off the base game (and the B-Sieged characters, except that OP one who can kill the A-bomb)

1 - Anyone can use a @h sword or cast fireball, but some characters are more or less suited to the different weapons and armour. My group cooperatively passes the gear around (we draw characters randomly) and we play "class-based", though with flexibility.

2 - The game is supposed to be hard/challenging. Luck is a big thing, yes (it's Ameritrash, after all) but the Necro spawns stopped the "turtling" strategy that we (one guy in particular) always ended up doing in regular Zombicide. You can stop to gather some gear, but you've always got to be ready to blitz out as soon as a Necro pops to kill that sucker off before his spawn becomes permanent. I enjoy the tension it adds.

YMMV of course, and Mango's opinions aren't wrong - they're opinions, just as my own observations above are.

The increased carrying capacity, wounds, armor, medieval weapons, and spells definitely make it Fantasy.

Classes are the realm of D&D and soon Massive Darkness.

I've played too many skill based RPG's to need Classes to feel the Fantasy.

Necros, do pop up a lot. We didn't have an issue with it. Actually found it added a sense of urgency to the game.

I really love Zombicide. Before Zombicide, we were playing All Things Horror. ATH is a good game, but it's clunky mechanics wise when compared to ZBP.

Azazelx has already mentioned the counterpoints for MangoMadness.

In addition I'd also say, remember that you can choose which spawn point is removed when you kill the Necro.

Also, that he cannot exit through the same zone (if you have more than one spawn point in a zone) that he entered from, meaning he can't just skip off again in the same activation.

Just a couple of minor points but ones I have read coming up a few times (and make the game a little easier for the players if observed).

Hey guys, question about the use of special character bad guys in the game if I may.

So for something like the Ablobination, Charlize Theron or Evil Ash Necromancers, what kind of impact do they have on the game difficulty?

Reason being the game seems pretty well balanced, had quite a few games that come down to the last card or few dice rolls. Does having the extra cards in with the pack make it too difficult to play, or do people generally sub out the standard necromancer/abomination characters?

Think that you probably could sub in some stronger player characters (something like Xena, or the big troll dude, who can finish off the abominations easily) but would be interested to hear people's thoughts on it.
