I'm already on 1.4 (12w32a)... I'm trying to make something awesome on Minecraft, but my parents made me delete Hamachi as they thought it kept spreading to all the computers in the house and messing up our connection to the router. What they forgot was that they gave me permission to install it on all the computers beforehand... Is this how everyone' parents are? And the relation to Hamachi meant I could connect to my English friend's servers... now I can't anymore :(

What do Monster Spawners do specifically. I play primarily on Peaceful mode and I've found a couple of these while digging through caverns. I'd say the name is obvious, they spawn monsters, but special types? Will there be no monsters period if I find and destroy them all? Etc...

What do Monster....spawners do? Inside the cage is a specific monster that you'll usually find in the world. They spawn them continuously, whereas typical mobs spawn randomly. Destroying them just stops the mobs spawning at a high rate from them , you'll still find mobs in areas where they can normally spawn.

If you play on Easy/Normal/Hard, they spawn monsters at at an accelerated rate in a small radius around them. Monsters will continue to appear in other areas though as normal/

Never destroy a spawner! No matter the type, you can always set up a decent XP farm for you enchanting needs! Each spawner spawns a different type of mob, natural spawners are zombie, skeleton, cave spider, blaze, spider and I think that's it. There are others that can be MC edited in to the game but they are the only ones you'll encounter in vanilla minecraft. If you are within 16 blocks the spawner activates, releasing a number of a specific type of mob every fifteen seconds or so. If you are on peaceful, the spawners don't spawn anything.

Uh...reinstall it on your own computer and just remove it from the start menu. If they don't have a clue about computers I doubt they would bother going out of their way to find such a naughty, naughty program.

I don't really think that using LMGTFY is terribly polite, and I responded in kind. It implies I don't have the intelligence to type, which clearly I do. I was really after a proper explanation, as most entries about t are laden with Jargon which I am unable to decipher, seeing as I don't know that much about the physical workings of a computer.

And your computer was? What make? What was it running on? Windows? Linux? (It's meant to hate Linux, from my experience)
It says on the website it has several compatibility issues with certain makes and/or OS'. My Acer has 64bit Windows 7 Home Premium; works absolutely fine. Used Hackintosh to change the OS to Linux temporarily. It spazzed up my computer horribly. Changed it back to Windows, worked perfectly fine.
It's a neat, small little piece of software if you plan on going on your friend's servers when you happen to have moved to another country. Like me. It doesn't take up much HDD space, and you can run it alongside nearly any other program and won't affect it's performance. Like Minecraft. Or Starcraft 2. Plus, it's one of the safest VPN programs on this planet. It is renowned for it's security. I love it. It's a shame my parents made me delete it though...
