Looks fantastic with a wingman, great job.

I'm wavering between Zephyr class interceptor and Stormclaw atm, I'll get back to you later with my final choice.

Those are sweet, brian! Definite improvement over the stock kit, very creative conversion. You gonna magnetize all the options?

They look reminiscent of ships from japanese side-scrolling shoot em up games.

Yes, the options will be magnetized, and I'll probably re-work the weapon pods as well, because they really honk me off.

Keep the names coming!

The Arvii are already built, so I'll just do some cleanup, repaint, and use as-is. I kinda like their design.

I also need to get a copy of the new Aeronautica Imperial Armour book, since that's an updated list of all flyers in the game (up to the Avenger) and has 6th ed rules.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
And while I'm thinking about it.....

So, the Imperial Navy Flight Group stands, thusly:

2 Valkyrie/Vendettas - Blue Angels Scheme
1 Valkyrie/Vendetta - US Coast Guard Scheme

Incoming or unfinished:

1 V-Hull based flyer
1 Vulture
2 Arvus Lighters

Please suggest some paint schemes. I am open to nationalities other than the US. The schemes should reflect the 'purpose' of the flyer. Obviously, that one mystery V-hull is up in the air. It may be a Vulture, it may be a Sky Talon. I'm not sure. I just have pieces parts, and I'm playing around with it.

Future acquisitions:

1 Aquila Lander
Several actual Strikefighers (Lighting, Thunderbolt)
At least one Marauder.

Note: I am, as mentioned previously, not terribly keen on the Avenger/Lightning II design, and would be unlikely to buy them unless they have a significant gameplay advantage on the battlefield, over the Lightning and Thunderbolt fighters. Or I "see" a way to hack them up into something more respectable.

PS: Anyone else notice that they keep using World War 2 US Fighter names? Come on, Brits. Issue a damn Spitfire.
