Welcome back and happy new year nice looking torsos but they do kind of look strange a bit like drag queens

Maybe once you add some more female sized limbs they will work better.

Yo guys!

Thanks for the input, personally I would use those torsos with some Dark Eldar fem bitz but our customer seems happy with this way... [shrug]

Anyway, I have something more interesting to show this time - my latest work - a WoW-like goblin miniature I'm making for my own use with the WoW table top game. But I'll make some casts of cause

He's 20mm tall to the top and should fit fine with stock minis from this game. In terms of pure size at least

Sorry for phone shots =| This pinky FIMO clay is hard to picture correctly.

Cheers!

oh... i was execting ou to show up any moment now too..been a bloody long whiile...

that goblin looks very cool... as a former addicted of wow i see where you´re coming from with that greeny...
if you cast this, then a different head option would make it a great leader/ commissar for so many grot rebellions... ... he looks almst like the grot version of creed...

cheers, vik

Yeah, seems like I've been absent longer than I thought

You too thought about Creed? Funny that wasn't my intention, I just had that image of what I want my game character to look like and it figures I want him creedy

Thx m8, nice to see both of you around

But I just don't get why you want his head off? Imo hard hat is the best head gear for a propper grot/goblin gentleman - protection with style and utility! =)

I have a bunch of ideas which included grot drivers and the body would work for a couple of them, the hard hat does not fit the theme so much.

Think of young drivers that like to pimp out there cars and race down the street, this would save me sculpting a body or 2

Like those rockabilly racer guys from Grease? Sounds cool!

Finished the goblin to the point of test casts. Hope to get them next week.

Any suggestions?

is that a combi weapon of a pickaxe and a gun?...now there is some creative thinking.. although i would ´t want to be the one to be charged to fire that gun after it was used as the pikaxe beforehand....ouch....boooom...no chance of a facepalm afterwards possible...

and i only now realize that i was looking at a armless goblin on the first pics... i thought he had his arms behind his back....

but he looks very cool...and now with the arms he is defnitly a wow goblin...the gloves really help to sell the theme!

LOL I thought the same thing but then realised he had no arms

Looks good and I like the boom stick-pick he had one in Abraham Lincoln the Vampire Hunter

As to the grease reference kind of but a bit more modern than that

Hi guys!

Lately I've been trying a bit of terrain stuff for my friends at Tiny Furniture, including some 3d modelling. So here are some pics of those works.

I've modeled 3 treasure heaps because trying to make all those coins clean and creasp any other way is pure pain =) 3d prints turned out pretty fine imo:

I also made a stylized statue with two "weapon" options the old way =)

As always keen to hear your opinion guys!

Glad to see your back mate and trying the new arts, any body thinking hobbit display pieces here maybe do one with a dragon eye just peering through the coins

Glad to see your still keeping in with the old arts as well very stylised statues but interesting concepts

Hey have you still got any of the syndicate inspired parts still around ?

Good to see you back about. Nice work.

Not tempted to put face details on the coins?
Probably not come out in the print?

@LDD

Thanks bro! Glad to see you're still around! =)

The 7-sided coins were inspired by LOTR dwarven coins and there is a dagger that looks alot like Sting, so yeah - an eye would fit but the goal was to make them usable across various settings =)

I believe we still have the old Synapse parts lying somewhere, but I hope to re-do the whole thing from scratch using 3d... This time I'd love to embrace Tau mecha nature. Something like the old Robotech bike-suits

@Dr H
Thank you!
I thought about that alot, but no 3d printing hardware will allow for coin face detail unless I make them even bigger. The round ones here are 2 mm in diameter and that's already a huge artistic compromise =) And even if I did, it'll add a whole lot of polys that would complicate work in more ways then one. Plus coins mostly overlap each other leaving little flat surface visible, so any additional geometry will mostly add "noise" and trouble for any potential painter =/

Hi guys, I'd like to tell about an indiegogo project I'm working on as a designer and 3d (2d also) artist. The actual production and logistics will be handled by my friends from Tiny Furniture

The whole thing is about terrain bits in a well known retro-futuristic style, but with a twist - we wanted to picture how things could look at the eastern-europe part of a world like Fallout. Nothing epic - just bits and pieces that can be usefull at creating thematical gaming terrain or dioramas. All items are modeled in 3d and will be printed at one of the best possible professional grade SLA printers.

So, to the pictures!

It all started with this simple grocery stand:

As a proof of concept we printed all the parts and here are the first casts:

I even went so far as to make some silly fake product ads for it as a promo of sorts:

And here are some more concepts:

If you guys liked them I have a whole lot more coming =) As allways, pls share your thoughts!

Cool designs, Storag. I like the modular design of the shelves for ease of personalisation.

Hey old friend! Great to hear from you!

@StoD
I got your promise

Here are some more of the same.

A bed set that has a "metal" frame, mattress and some panels to conform it to the play space and artistic needs:

A modernist book case with books:

And a universal vending machine that has interchangeable side dispenser panels. As of now can be used as gas station or soda cans vendor:

I like that thinking. I had the same aim with the wooden hut kit I designed. Gives the customer options of how to build their models, which means a personalised result.

More nice designs.

Half-crazed that's for sure My wife also said that she wants that book case - now I need to figure how to make it happen

@Dr H & CK
Thanks guys! I really appreciate it

My work on this project is mostly done and they are working on an IndieGoGo page atm, making video and stuff like that, so It's comming really soon and when ready I'll put a link here to show all the designs at once .

Right now I'd like to share pictures of my 1:100 dwarf model. It's a cast of the first miniature I made to test the scale. He's 15mm to the top and the owl is 4mm =) I really loved that scale and Ihave an idea of a whole gaming box. It's nice to get back to the roots, to the time when miniatures were smaller and more portable. Please speak you opinions on the matter, I'd love to know!

Cheers!

15mm? Damn that's tiny. When comparing to 28mm, I'd say the beard and the feathers could use some more detailing, but not sure how that holds up in 15mm.

@CK
It's hard to compare really. With half the height it is about 1/4-1/5 the volume of an average 28mm figure. I could have push some strains of hair on the beard but I was worried how it'll look painted, so I went with Disney's Infinity angular approach to making hair. We'll see how well it went when Ish's gonna paint it

@LDD
Surprisingly, It was very comfortable to work wit hfor me O.o The main issue was to prevent clay from breaking apart =)
