THe goo old days were before you were old enough to understand how f**ked up everything is.

Mine ended when I was about 12.

In a Society in which there is no law, and in theory no compulsion, the only arbiter of behaviour is public opinion. But public opinion, because of the tremendous urge to conformity in gregarious animals, is less tolerant than any system of law. When human beings are governed by "thou shalt not", the individual can practise a certain amount of eccentricity: when they are supposedly governed by "love" or "reason", he is under continuous pressure to make him behave and think in exactly the same way as everyone else.

George Orwell is my hero.

Social Experiment: if you're pissed like me, copy and paste this into your sig, and add a number after it.

No it doesn't, I agree.

And acknowledgeing that the present is somewhat better, but not even remotely close to as good as it could be, is step one to getting the hell out of this mess.

oh my god, I hate people that automatically assume I'm into smoking and drinking. I'm constantly bothered "if I have a light" or if I want to go drinking with a group of friends. just because I'm 19 and in a university doesn't mean I'm down with that stuff...

OH, and also people thinking I'm waaay younger than I am. Seriously, someone told me I was 13. I was like "eh, really now? Here's my license, douche."

And people that mistake me for a guy even when I'm wearing make-up. I know I was not granted with the luscious curves of a Latina princess, but I really don't look THAT much like a dude.. TT^TT

and a pet peeve of mine is when the dentist asks me questions and expects me to answer them while his / her hands are stuffing my mouth. :L

Yeah, I can see being miffed about people expecting you to smoke (I mean where do you live? I don't think this has ever happened to me), but like 99% of the world drinks, and drinking excessively is the boon of people our age.

Really, tis tremendous fun (as long as you are careful).

I sorta had the reverse experiance. I was at a party when an old lady said to my mother "You have a beautiful young daughter."

I let it slide because I had long hair at the time and i was standing far away from her.

As for drinking, there ain't nothing wrong with it. I gave it up for a year though, but if you do it responsibly and in moderation, I think it's perfectly acceptable.

And I totally agree with the dentist thing.

Also, I'm sick. First time like a year, and it sucks ass.

I was told today I could apply for the Rotary Club. For those who don't know what that means, for my Junior or Sophmore year, I enroll in a foreign exchange program.

I asked the lady who told me about it to send me a list of the places I could enroll in. As of right now, I know for a fact that Spain, Austrailia and Germany are on that list.

I'm seriously considereing it.

My daily routine has been co-opted by my new obsession with natural disasters. The end is near. Do what the petroglyphs say, which is "When you see the spirals in the sky, go to the high ground where the goats are, because the water is going to rise and destroy the low ground." It's carved on caves and mountains all over Earth, and that's good enough to me. I don't want to be rounded up by soldiers when the end comes.

We just did our first 1 and a half hour set (thats like 3.5 times longer than our previous record).

We did not do well. We kept having to switch guitars and change tunings for different songs. And the guy in the pizza place kept us very quiet, which doesn't makes sense for two electric guitars.

Oh, and we screwed up alot...

I'm wondering if Team Canada will get that giant thumb out of their collective back end and CRUSH the US and A at hockey tomorrow. I hope so. I hope Ryan Miller schisses the bed bigtime. I have to wake up at like 4 am to watch it.

Of course the less than awesome 3-2 hammering of hockey super power Slovakia (they do have some good NHL players though) isn't exactly bolstering my confidence.

Agreed. I enjoyed drinking when I did it. But, to each their own. She don't feel like drinking, no one is gonna think less of her.

Well, I would think less of her depending on what movie we were watching. Bill and Ted need booze!

I spent an inordinate amount of time studying for a Calculus exam, which then proceded to laugh in my face and kick me in the nuts (metaphorically). The smartest person in the class had no idea what half of it meant (or so she told me-I don't know if she was just trying to cheer me up ).

I had a Materials exam which was only slightly better.

I have another week to go before spring break.

My girlfriend is being weird and a bit clingy. Apparently, she didn't understand all the times I've said, "I am not a nice person so don't get too attached."

The last three phone conversations I've had with my mother have all turned into arguments. One after she called to say that she really wanted me home for spring break and had already bought the plane ticket.

I don't have anything at school that can play music loudly enough.

My floor is filled with foreign exchange students who cook (read: burn, and set off the fire alarm) awful food continuously. They are also very hostile towards the few "Americans" living on the floor.

I'm tired as hell because I'm getting almost no sleep.

I didn't go to the gym this week and probably won't next week. Damn exams.

My demons are being more active than usual.

I'm from Boston, MA.. I just don't see the fun in damaging my brain cells, especially when I'm paying money out of my pocket to make them useful, haha. I've never really been into drinking or smoking, it doesn't appease to me. I don't like the taste of any alcohol, and smoking makes me feel nauseous and dizzy. It might be just me though. xO

>>>>> in otherrr news, I dropped a class today because it wasn't worth the effort I had to put into it. I'm an Engrishh major, and the course I dropped (History of the Modern World) was just a gen. ed. and was supposed to "fill a spot" on my schedule, but it ended up requiring more effort than the classes required for my degree... so as the professor was handing out the midterms, I packed up my bookbag and left, haha~

oh, the power also went out on my campus for two hours, and NONE of my classes were cancelled. :L
