I'm about to apply for a job at Blockbuster. I'm going to drop off my resume and hope for the best.
It'd be nice to have some money for myself.

Blockbuster is a video/game store. It's one of the two big chains here in Australia, the other being Video City. I'd just be working at the counter, but it's better than nothing.

sounds like there's every chance the company might not even be around for that long. Of course the situation down your way may vary a little, I believe the UK operation was split off from the USA firm a few years back.
Hope it works out anyway.

In Australia at least, blockbuster has been going bust forever. Never seem to effect thier presence too much... until last year when 2/3 local ones have closed, all the independant stores seem to be doing better over time =P

You do know their financial position is crap right?
EDIT: qwoops someone else noted that first. Learn from me, you don't want to work for a company in bankruptcy or near it.

I set up an appointment with my local recruiter. The Air Force office was closed, so i went to the Navy one.
Appointment on wednesday at noon. Might try and reschedule ti for later tho so my dad can come. Seeing as he was in the ervice,
he'd know what questions to ask.

At least he will be able to pocket all the cool new vids and games before they go down the drain. When all said and done, the word of the day is plunder.

I got to go to Comic-Con for free, and was able to hang out with 2 really good friends and I ended up meeting 4 people who would also become good friends.
I just patched up things with my mom (we had had a very nasty fight a couple days before comic-con) and so we're all good there. I hope that this feeling lasts because it's awesome.
I'm sad that the 4 people I met at comic-con I'm not going to see until next year and that the con is over, but at the same time I'm not going to live in the past, I'm going to look forward.

Not bad, they were gone fast.
The problem is that they get their jollies by harassing and making fun of people, but they didn't realize (as my friend put it) that they were dealing with people who have been harassed and made fun of their entire lives. So they were used to it. Plus many of the people going are smarter than the average person.
There were counter protestors and whatnot. In short, it wasn't very successful for Westboro, and I doubt that they'll be back.
