Oh that is nice.

Is 10" enough for a warhound? Maybe just an Adeptus Arbites Knight?

Suddenly I want to rewatch Robocop. Was the remake any good or should I stick with the two originals?

The remake catches a lot of hate.. but if you separate it from the nostalgia it's a good sci-fi movie. It's drastically different from the original though.. so don't expect to see the 80s script with Iron Man style effects.

EDIT: Before I catch grief.. when I say "good" I mean that.. not great or exceptional, but good. It has a high production value, decent acting, and really nice effects. If you're a fan of sci-fi, you'll likely enjoy it if you can remove it from the original.

2 new (I think) Robogear kits from Russia the Lobster and Crabster.

Not great but at $6 (+shipping) worth it for the bitz alone. And better than some of their older stuff.

Nah, those aren't new. They've been around for a while, but they weren't in Robogear packaging and lictures were very limited of them.

I bought one or two of each of those same kits from the same seller about 3 years ago. Though they're from the same company "Tehnolog" I don't think they've ever been in "Robogear" packaging, they seller just put that in the subject line.

They're not bad kits at all, but they're noticably smaller than other robogear kits, mostly because of the stunty legs and slightly Chibi'ish proportions. I had considered mixing the bodies with robogear legs but never got around to it.

The pictures make them seem a smidge bigger than they are in real life. Still, they might be good stand-ins for sentinels or similar vehicles in terms of width and length if not height.

Are you guys aware of Bandai's Minipla line? They're trading kits you can pick up at grocery stores or drug stores in Japan. For a while, it was just Super Sentai kits Bandai was doing, but of late they've been branching out into other properties. The minipla kits are usually pretty cheap and, in case of the Sentai stuff, usually better articulated and proportioned than the big, expensive toys. So, recently, Bandai produced a line based on the anime series Xabungle, which included the Xabungle itself (which transformed/combined) as well as two of the smaller support mechs. The quality looked really good, with a high degree of articulation, gimmicks, and parts mostly molded in the final colors. Well, they've produced another assortment since the first Xabungle one (a second Xabungle set with the hero's other mech and some baddie mechs) and soon they'll be releasing a third series of Gao-Gai-Gar, which has complete transformation and combination gimmicks retained, not to mention it looks really good. They also have a Power Rangers Megazord coming in the near future.

Now, where am I going with this? Today Bandai revealed their next property that will receive the Minipla treatment, Panzer World Galient. You may not be familiar with Galient, but there's a high likelihood you've seen some of the mecha before. The series was a pseudo sci-fantasy (turned out to actually be post-apocalyptic... to a degree) very similar to the 90's anime Escaflowne. The show was about a young prince on a quest for revenge against an evil ruler who murdered his family and destroyed his country. Along the way, he ends up operating a giant robot knight and builds a rebellion to overthrow the evil ruler. There's also people from space who show up and try to influence things along the way.

Anyway, Bandai announced that they're making kits of the Galient itself based on the TV show design

which retains its transformation/combination gimmick

the OVA Galient (which doesn't transform)

and the things that will probably be of most interest to you guys, two versions of the TV style Promaxis, a centaur robot

I'm betting those Promaxii will be of some interest to you guys that still play Epic or other small scaled versions of 40k.

This is a real nostalgia trip for me though because when I was a kid, I used to have some of the Galient kits. Way back in the dark days before the internet, I had no clue what this series was. Why were there giant robot knights? Why did one have the lower body of a snake? I used to try and imagine what the setting and story were based on the box art. It wasn't until about a year or two ago that I actually was able to finally see the show. Thankfully, I actually enjoyed it. So, I'm absolutely going to have to get these. I suspect we may get a second series of these, too since there's some pretty iconic robots from the series they didn't do with this assortment, like the Zawell or the Wingall.

Shame it's the crappy post-Halo 4 designs, but a model Pelican is something I need badly enough to overlook that (though the bird itself isn't too bad, it's the so-called "SPARTANs" crewing the Warthog and the Wraith design that annoy me).

I have no problem with that Pelican design. I'll be needing some of those for my 15mm armies.

MSRP looks to be 39.99€. At current conversions, and hat comes to $42.95 USD OR £34.48 GBP, or somewhere thereabouts.

There's no pics, but the representatives for Bluefin announced today at New York Toy Fair that Bandai picked up the license to make merchandise for Pacific Rim 2. That's Bandai Japan, that picked it up specifically. They said that they have plans to release die-cast chogokin toys of the Jaegers as well as plastic models. So, if the Max Factory Plamax kits for the first movie are too rich for you, Bandai apparently will have you covered.

It's not just Toy Fair this weekend. It's also Winter Wonderfest in Japan! That means new kits on the horizon! Let's see what Kotobukiya has in store for us in 2017!

two 1/72 scaled Phantasy Star Online 2 mecha!

Raftclans from Super Robot Wars (it's been a while since we had SRW kits announced)

new Frame Arms!
(we've seen this one before, but only in greyscale prototype form)

new non-scale mecha in their Modelling Support Goods line.

this transforms as well.

crazy Hexa Gear thing

Stuff I didn't post pics of include a continuation of the Frame Arms Girls, more of the Megami Device girl kits, colored production samples and greyscale samples of the Hexa Gear toys, Crossover Frame Arms Girls that combine the girls with licensed properties like Gao-Gai-Gar, and another Modelling Support Goods vehicle kit similar to that container truck, except it's a motorcycle scaled to the Frame Arms Girls.
