I am curious, you seem to have gone very minimal on the lances, what was the design decision there?

While every detail of this thing is amazing, and the more iconic bitz like the row of mask-portraits are truly inspired, it's the grace of your basic tendril-shapes that amazes me. The root-like shapes around the base of the back fins are somehow the best part of the whole thing, even though they're one of the simplest.

Pardon my only recently joining dakka, but I just wanted to say that this is the kind of amazing work that drew me into 40k. I've yet to even get one miniature (funds are low), but, Navarro, your work is such an inspiration. Brilliant sculpting. Cheers.

The client just aproved everything, he liked the new yinyang shoulderpad and the base also, so I have green card to ship it back o him
I hope they paint it well also, If it is the painter client showed me long ago Im sure it will look great!

The trees on the base are the citadel ones, this titan is 2ft/ 61cm tall, its huge and pics dont really show the details and sheer size of this thing.

@jabbakahut The design choice was simple in theory but hard to pull it on the mini, I tried to compensate the superdetailed torso and shoulders etc with some clean parts like upper legs, weapons and top of the head... If i decided to make everything superdetailed the titan would look a big mess of Greenstuff with no focal point.
THe weapons are huge already as they are, and I want the focus to be on titan head.

I'm very happy people apreciated this blog and the titan, It was both fun and frustrating sometimes but I would not managed to pull this off if it werent for all the net people motivation. Thanks!

What you said about the weapons makes sense, I wasn't criticizing, just curious. It works well.

What material is that base made from?

No problem mate, besides if you wanted to you could criticize all you wanted I have no problems with critiques.

Frame is wood, white parts is plaster and trees are citadel ones...

So, it takes two years to distill ~10 kilos of elemental awesome into a sculpted model. That's not a bad return!

That thing is really just staggering. How would one top that on the table? About the only thing that comes to mind would be somehow granting life to a squad of the old Diaz daemonettes. Possibly a mega daemon made from real dried body parts, like those "muscles in action" type exibits made from dead people.

So this will only be topped by granting life to inanimate metal, or bringing cadavers to a game. I think your title is secure for all time
