While Lynda Carter was indeed my Favorite incarnation of Wonder Woman, very few people are aware that she was not the first choice for the role,
Cathy Lee Crosby first played the amazing Amazon in the 1974 Movie.

Although in all seriousness, X-men isn't some fly by night comic, its got thirty plus years of history behind it when the first movie came out.

You seriously telling me if Hollywood did a Space Marine film set in the 40K universe, but put the actors in normal army gear and then made a joke that 'what did you want us in, ceramic plate' you'd be good with it?

Women in spandex or latex just don't do it for me - regardless of how hot they are.
Give me leather anyday.

That said, Famke Janssen would be fine in a wisp of cloud.

I doubt Hollywood COULD make a decent Space Marine movie - GW have proven that not even they could do it - and they make the game it's based on. The 'recruits' backtalking to the apothecary in the UM movie were bad enough. Given the Medieval monastic organisation of the SM and that they are supposed to honour and respect those who are older and with more experience.

Am I the only one that finds it funny that she's a sidekick to a guy who's initial is 'DD'?

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I agree with the anorexicness, I just think her face matches the kind of look I would expect for Talia. I don't know perhaps get her on a weight gain diet and she'll be good to go lol.

Heard a rumor that she might be in the next film, I personally vote Olivia Wilde or Keira Knightly for the part =D.

Olivia Wilde would make an excellent Talia IMO...

Eva Mendes is another interesting choice...

Eva Mendes is too hispanic, plus she needs to look related to Liam. Another rumor I heard is Rachael Weis and Jessica Biel trying out for the part which wouldn't be bad either. (Olivia and Keira are also ones rumored as well).

Well, if we're venturing outside of comics there's Dr Blight from Captain Planet and the Planeteers.

According to the website I got the picture from, she was originally voiced by Meg Ryan, which is just odd.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

black widow may have teamuped with DD on several occaisions and while she is not superpowered i am sure that sidekick can only mean one thing: she kicked his sides...she is for my taste supewrior to him ....by far. looks and atitude

Hmmm, you have a point...ok then,so she "teamed up" with Daredevil...DD still got top billing.

Of course that doesn't mean DD was easy to work with.

Probably why she finally got sick of him.

Gotta love the redheads.

I don't think there are too many appropriate images of some of the characters from Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose (I think), but Tarot, boo-cat?, and some dragon witches aren't too shabby.
Oh yea, I think the girls from Gen13 were nice to look at too.

Tbh it more a case of forgetting characters than dislike, one of the reasons I'm liking this thread.

It's reminded me, and I've gone and looked up so many stories, backgrounds etc on Wiki, Marvel and DC fan sites this week.

Tigra is cool mind, shame we'll not see her with the Avengers, although they can't do everyone I suppose.

I also had a big thing for this lass, as a youngster.

This is part of the reason I too love Dakka,in the midst of all the "Serious" Political debate that often permeates the "OT zone",sometimes it's nice to just have a bit of fun....because,after all...what difference does the "State of the world" make if your not enjoying yourself to begin with.

@ MDS.

Yes, Scarlet Witch was one of my favorites as well, the dynamics of her relationship with Vision always seemed a bit sad.

Anyway,it's funny that you mentioned that this thread was bringing back memories of characters you'd forgotten,I find the same happening for myself...
I had almost completely forgotten about Medusa as "The Inhumans" wasn't one of the tittles I normally read,but...I believe she deserves a place in the thread....don't you?
