so i guess when you go to a tournament with this, they'll just go away, because they will know that you will fight them until you win
really, really, really awesome
but better, its why I play warhammer, to know that this exists and anyone who says playing with toy soldier is childish, i'll show them this and they'll understand it.
i like your work, WOW

Those boar trucks are great - I see a lot of DIY vehicles and scratchbuilds and it's unusual to see ones that really look like they belong in WH40k but you really nailed the aesthetic with these. They really look like guard vehicles.

Did you know? The Reach belongs to the Forsworn.

90% of tourney games are great games. Don't believe the hype, there are usually fewer morons at a tourney than in your general FLGS in my experience

Sorry, not bashing tourneys. Just meant I like to play with like minded friends where if we want to interpret a rule one way, noone will mind and where we can field rule of cool rather than restrict ourselves to Codex. I also prefer to play on a table with character and where effort has been put into the appearance. Makes for a more enjoyable game in my opinion.

Tried games clubs too - wasn't really for me and I'm far too long in the tooth to stand around in a games shop!

Hgely inspirational that airbase is magnificent one of the biggest and best 40k dioramas I've seen.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Cool. If you combine the base with the wall sections I'm making, throw in a few explosions and a bucket load of mayhem in the form of airborne attacking renegades, then that's what we're hoping to show at next year's gamesday!

You sir, are awesome. If it weren't so fething late at night I would go through the whole thread... But for now, some words of appraise will do.
Also, your personal army-codex is now listed amongst the most awesome gak I've seen. I'm so going to do one for my Necrons too! ... That is, when I've done some serious battling with them, recorded battles and outcomes, had them for some more years, painted hordes of them... But I will do one, because having one like you do... It's simply... I don't even have words for it.

Absolutely astounding looking work. I'd love to see more of what you have lying around, especially the command squad from the Codex.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

Where are the packs from?

How did you make the trucks, specifically the treads? Was it from a stash of the old wheels and treads from the old IG tanks?

Question for you, or anyone - those green horizontal half-cylinder buildings in the marine encampment on the first page - what are they called? I have a feeling there is a specific name for them, but can't think of it...

Edit: My Google-fu is strong! Nissen huts and Quonset huts!
