A review of my timesheet reveals the answer 'all the time' :(

Probably half an hour to several hours, depending on the detail level, rifled surfaces and so on. Less if the surfaces are smooth and easily cleaned from mouldlines.

As long as it takes.

I'm used to build single models (D&D and such) and I underestimated the time investment in painting an entire army.

I got the most of it second hand and it was a pain to remove the mouldlines and sprue-nubs from the models. It takes so much longer than doing it part-by-part.

I'm not building a Helbrute, got it new, and there are parts that are a pain to clean, like the spine. But a pointy scalpel does the job. It just takes a bit of time and attention.

As much time as it takes to remove all of them. I’m currently building Star Wars Legion B1s. Each takes me a good forty minutes or so.

I hate mold lines. I like building things.

A minute with the back of a knife blade sees a plastic model clean most of the time. Couple minutes extra with a nail file stick if required.
