Cheers Monkey
I decided to leave the structure as is. I added the rivets and then threw on a quick base coat.

Long time no update.
Not much painting or modelling done so far this year.
I made some wreckage markers.

And I'm currently working on my angry space elves.

Decided to keep the beaten up bronze look for the large units in the DE army. I'm going for an ancient decay feel to the army, rather than the clean, elegant style most people opt for with DE. I want the army to look like it's ancient, and corrupt, with vehicles and armour that has been neglected. They're all too busy getting high in Commorragh. This Raider is still a WIP.

Liking the beaten bronze look for the spiky pointy-ears. Talos is pretty cool, and the raider is looking very nice so far....

The Mrs used to make cakes, and has an airbrush she used to make custom designs. She doesn't do it anymore so the airbrush has been donated to the wargaming arsenal. WOO!
Undercoating the army was fast.

Also, the Mrs has been turning her talents to scenery:

I received a second hand, partially painted, Temple of Skulls as a gift. This how it looked when we got it:

So now you just need to get her to make edible scenery Hmmm, chocolate ruins....

Nice re-working of the skull temple, and the wall hangar is an excellent idea, most amusing

Edible scenery! NOM!

Did a small amount of work on my infantry today. Just the base layers.

Raider is pretty much done, just need to glue the crew on.

The infantry will be getting Dark Arts Minatures Tomb bases. I'm painting the hidden objective markers in the same scheme.

And a WIP Lhamaean.

Raider looks great lovely finish to the metal. Could possibly do with a bit of dirt on the sail though, looks a little incongruous with the pristine red and white.

Orkshire looks to be coming on great, I love the signs

Yeah, totally kicking myself over the sail. Lesson learned, 3 more to do anyway. Will likely revisit that one at some point.
We had a large 3 way battle in Orkshire yesterday, I photoshopped some of the pictures I took.

Ha, checking on the upload date for the first picture I shared of these guys, seems I undercoated my Kans in May 2013. I have finally gotten around to adding some more paint.
Still a lot to do on them. Man I hate painting yellow >_<

May have gone overboard with the gore on the Bad Moon Kan, but never mind.
Apart from some touch up work these guys are done. I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out overall.
I'll probably do some better pictures of each one and pop them in the showcase.

Death Skulls

Bad Moons
Went a bit overboard with the gore on this one :(

Good job - particularly like the grimy hazards on the grotzooka.

And he's a smurf.....he deserved it

Your Mrs should start a scenery painting service and that street scene is awesome!

I've been encouraging her to do this, especially as she's currently unemployed.
