Our new kits in 8th amount to what? We got 6 replacement buggies for the 3 that got index'd out of existence....which btw, those buggies were like RT era sculpts.
Point of order - the Warbuggy was a 2nd edition sculpt. The RT one was made of metal.
The Wartrak was originally released for Gorkamorka, which would put it in late 2nd edition, from memory.
...the Deffkopta you can get via GW today is also from Gorkamorka, interestingly.

Ironically the sales of those buggies didn't do very well since even though the models look alright, the rules were so shoddy that basically none are seen at the competitive events.
What else did we get recently? Honestly because I can't remember? Back at the start of 7th we got the mek guns and Gork/Morkanauts.....do they count even though that was 5 years ago?
Not disagreeing with you, but for completion:
6th Dakkajet/Blitza Bommer/Burna Bommer
7th: Grukk/Warboss, SAG Mek, Mekboy, Painboy, MANz/ MA Big Mek, Flash Gits, Mek Guns, Wazbomm Blastajet, Gorkanaut/Morkanaut
8th: Boomdakka Snazzwagon,Deffkilla Wartrike, Rukkatrukk Squigbuggy, Megatrakk Scrapjet, Kustom Boosta-blasta, Shokkjump Dragsta, Mek Workshop
What our Tyranid, Tau and Craftworld friends seem to forget is that more than half their current range has been released after or shortly before the ork's 7th edition update (almost all of the non-horde bugs, jet bikes, pretty much all of the battlesuits). The only ones who really didn't get a lot in "recent years" are necrons.
If you go back to 5th those armies got even more, since dark eldar, necrons and nids pretty much were created as they are during that edition.
Weren't he dakkajet, blitzbomber and burna bomba released at the end of 5th right before 6th. I still have the White dwarf that showed them and contained rules so if i can find it but if i recall it was the big wave of fliers right before releasing 6th and then we had death from the skies compendium with 6th to really highlight them

Yeah, but there was another release at the beginning of 5th, so I erred in their favor.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

Unless you were already locked out of index options or your play group continues to allow those models, I guess.

Nooo... I'm not done building all the buggies yet.
Stupid paint while you build models forcing me to paint them instead of just playing them grey for years

new deffkoptas x6 all with a ~30% points bump over what they actually are worth liek most of the new buggies?
also yea these new buggies were amazing but so much detail and exposed parts with thin areas so you practicly have to paint em in subassembly

Well, even the instructions tell you to stop building and paint first...

Yeah, its crap. Arks want you to do the same thing, and its tedious.
You'd think GW would learn, but no, apparently they want their customers to not like building their stuff.

I had forgotten how many models we got remade in 7th and the other "new" releases we had gotten. Of course that probably has something to do with the fact that most are borderline unplayable.
