The midnight watch is just getting into their rounds when the first of the daemons are summoned into the town, strange fleshy green beasts with many arms that have fire in their palms. this fire is thrown at buildings and soon the town is ablaze.

(Tallon) The party moves to intercept the ghost carriages the next night, the spellcasters use the power of each other to power a binding spell and they cast it at the apparitions. however the moment they start gathering the magical strength required the ghosts dissapear. But one remains, he points at Ranun and then at orac and then dissapears

(its a literal DISSAPEAR, not backing off)

(noccy) The device takes the magical energy put into it and releases Mana eggs. these egg shaped white stones contain the spell that was cast on the machine. in a one use capacity these Mana eggs can be a powerful weapon or healing device

I think it is potentially dangerous so i will go downstairs and make breakfast. Cause aurella is kinda hungry. I look at aurella. You dont have to be scared i can feel it because i am bonded with you you can feel my body to.

How can we fight a foe that can move its physical form to anther location? this is stupid, i sit, still upset about the hopeless ness of our task. We had allready fought 2 temples of horror, what awaited up in the next?

I take her in my arms and lift her uo. I then walk downstairs and put her down on a sofa. What would you like for breakfast?

Ranun walks up to the walls to see what the pictograms will show them now.

You look on the walls and you see something that disturbs you greatly, the pictograms show small creatures, that you assume would be about a foot high, that have long slinking bodies and long snaking limbs, their mouths are multi hinged and seem to be snapping at a warrior of some description

Toast and bacon. Ok. I start making the breakfast. "My good morning line wouldnt work anymore. How are you feeling cause now i can just feel it. I begin to laugh. Not that i mind it.

cause im not sure where i am im gonna check for weapons and or traps.

"Let's stay together - as much as possible. As soon as we get the artifact, we can barrel our way out of the temple. Let's go."

And Ranun starts walking inside.

I join Ranun, at the front of our group, and begin to prepere for the enevitable battle. I ready my staff, and call to Darath.
Darath too had readied his staff, and was now casting healing aura over the party.
We proceed inside of the temple, and begin to search for the artifact...

(The assassins) (that is a really good question) (Meaningless talking aside you guys still have a job to do....)

(The group) Like the other temples this one has a long corridor and a massive chamber, at least you think its massive. The room is so dark that you cant see your hand infront of your face. But then a second after you have walked in the cieling lets out a grinding sound and the magical orb (apparently activated by proximity) slides down. the light it gies of makes the darkness lessen but not diminish entirely. What you see before you makes you wretch into your various helmets etc. The floor is covered in fresh corpses, Men Elfs, Twingins, Dwarfs, Orcs, Dragorans, Ataani, and one strange fellow who none of you have ever seen the likeness of before, when he was alive his natural bodily armour should have been proof against most damage as the curling horns that cover his skin in an interlocking mesh would attest to.

However all of them are dead, and recently dead, even though many of them carry weapons that have not been used scince the time of the old kingdom.

as before there is a walkway that runs around the egde of the room, which is strewn with corpses, but in the center instead of a single large platform there are a series of smaller walkways that lead out in a chaotic pattern, You can see no visible regularity to how the walkways are placed but you dont worry about that, because in the center is a pedistal surrounded by the everpresent panes of glass in a square box.

Each of the walkways has a number on it and you can count them all up from 1-10

when you step on one of the walkways it begins to give under your weight like a seesaw, you take your foot of and it rotates back to its balance position.

in the middle of the area are three platforms each with a large square brass plate positioned in them.

I just think everything is fine and i let proto search. After i have made the breakfast i give aurella her piece of it and take some for myself then i make some ready for proto for when he returns. I take of my shirt as i feel my tattoo burn a little. I see it turned blood red. I sit down back feeling it burn.

The dead continue to advance, ignoring the arrows peppering their shields as the Liche Priests cast more deliberating spells upon the riders.

I tell Orac to put his foot on one of the walkways, and then I test the other 9.

In the distance you can see the shapes of massive ballistae
