Keep in mind that the concept sketch is still a draft. But what won me over was this demonic "spindliness"and the otherworldly flexibility of its form (and the cleaver-like sword of course ).

I hope they manage to dig up concepts of the werewolves. I know they are thinking about putting together an encounter host with them involved - that would be seriously sweet to see. Watching those number climb baby.

The Gabrax look awesome, even just as roughs.
The new Fomoraic Encounter host is great to me. The only double from the Tarvax starter set from KS1 would be Brunchaath and I think he'd be useful for converting to add even more variety to the other Gabrax.
Gabrox is wicked as well, and another great Demon Prince stand-in from Mierce.

From a update.
Roberto Chaudon: he's working on Vaak of course, and then he will begin Petróyos and finally Belech. At Roberto's speed they should easily be done before the end of November! Automatically Appended Next Post:
Its not sculpted yet.
Benoît Cosse: Vókkinak is stalled a little whilst some changes are made. All of his other projects - Aalvór, Maallolvór and the Werwulfas will follow in due course.

The Legionnaires arrive!
£110,000 Stretch Goal - Con I Modius, Legionary Contubernium
Some excellent news for you all: £85,000 has been reached, which ensures the awesome Mag ap Mag will be produced, and it also means we're not too far away from the magic £100,000!
That's not all the news for you, of course. Knocking over another stretch goal means we can unveil another, and it's a fantastic one - the long-awaited infantry for the Byzantii, in the eight-man shape of a rag-tag, mixed sex Legionary Contubernium named "Con I Modius" (First Contubernium commanded by Modius)!
As it states above, you can purchase a contubernium in multiples too, saving a bit in the process!
Each contubernium includes a decanus (champion) - named "Modius" - and seven milites, a random mixture of the four milites - Livia, Severia, Tiberius and Gellius - that will be sculpted.
Please note, a contubernium does not include a banner bearer (signifer) or herald (cornificer); these two positions in the legions were part of the century rather than an individual contubernium.
The maximum unit size of a Contubernium as a unit in Darklands is 8. The minimum is 5.
Contubernia will feature in both encounter and skirmish hosts for the Byzantii when they are unlocked.

Now presumably the Monstrous Infantry for the Albainn will be similar to the giant we got for free in the first KS, right? Kind of an Ogimos sized giant? Maybe they've already said that and I simply missed it? Automatically Appended Next Post: Well damn, that little Contubernium package looks fantastic. I won't be going with Byzantii, but not for lack of being interested after those photos!

As much as I want to see more 'regular' Infantry, I'm guessing that the monstrous stuff is what really drives Mierce's Kickstarters and overall sales?
Still, I think the Norse, Byzantii and Fomor Skirmish Hosts should help whip things into nice frenzy too!

I'd like to thank cincydooley for: 1) Helping keep this thread on the straight and narrow. Mierce had some...'obstacles' to over come here, but they have, I believe, more than earned their good reputation with their initial Darklands Kickstarter, and look to be on track to do the same going forward with this one. Their communication and delivery on KS1 has been great, and I expect that to continue on KS2. 2) Helping me get into this game and helping me get a load of really awesome miniatures. I've been looking for SOMETHING to fill the void that the death of Confrontation and Rackham left, and this game and miniature line looks to be a solid contender for it! I am getting a ton of Fomoraic army stuff, and I'm looking forward to building Angelcynn and Norse armies too. And probably Byzantii, by the look of it! So, again, thank you cincydooley! And by the way, I had no idea how big Mjagnir was - wow! Now I need some Trolls to go along with those Norse infantry! EDIT: Full credit! Scale pics are from the previously linked blog: http://thebeerwaaagh.blogspot.ca/2013/10/getting-sense-of-scale.html?m=1 Sorry!

@Alpharius: Glad to see I'm not the only one using Mierce to fit that Rackham-sized hole in my gaming/miniatures heart. Glad those scale shots are being put to good use. I had no idea Mjagnir was quite so big until I put him next to that horribly painted Bloodthirster, either. Of course, I can only dream about my ideal combat:
