It actually seems pretty stable for a one-legged Jack attached
by putty/glue. However, I didn't notice that the slotted base extends
past the bottom of the base, making the whole thing wobbly.

Now if it were any other one piece mini, I'd try to just cut the thing,
but I have to be more subtle. I was thinking of putting more putty
underneath to balance it out. Are there any other ideas people can
share with me for fixing "wobble base"?

try using a turned off belt sander, or a turned on one if you're feeling lucky.
You could always buy some really coarse sand paper and drag 'ol scrappy across it.

Just use clippers to get rid of the excess. Easy squeezee.

re-base it like he's playing hopscotch?

Just kidding, like the others I would probably just carefully sand down the high spots until it sits stable. Happens from time to time with GW stuff too.

Mainly because my sense of humor is as bad as my skill at this game.

Grab another base and some sheet sytrene. Trace the base on the sheet styrene and cut it out. Then, figure out where the excess 'tab' is, and cut out a hole in the round sheet styrene. Glue the round sheet sheet styrene to the bottom of your base so that the excess 'tab' fits through the hole. In theory, you should have chosen thick enough sheet styrene (or cut enough thinner sheet styrene) to fix your tab problems.

Do it this way if you don't want to mess with clippers or dremels.

That's a hell of a lot of work, Furious. I suggest getting some heavy duty toenail clippers and trimming down the tab. Takes seconds.

Options. Just giving the man options.

I dremeled my tab down. It really is a pretty secure 'jack, once it's all together. I think I did some light pinning, but nothing serious.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

Someone kindly pinned my scrapjack ubertightly. From that standing foot all the way from its base through the angle through the shin to its hip.
My god, this man does it without a dremel! No more worries about casual gameplay anymore.
But yeah, excess tab is always remedied by a bit of clipping and sanding.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail.

Thanks for the advice.

Now I'm wishing I had done the "crazy pin" from the leg all the way into the
scrappy's body.
