OK last one for today. Westwind's Secrets of the Third Reich (pulp/horror WWII game) now has infantry and SEPERATE GAS MASK HEADS! http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=126 The heads are 20 to a pack and play well with IG (check the modeling forum). Also... Nazi Zombies! Oh and Westwind also has historical heads including berets. http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=130 .JPG) Available in the US from: http://www.warweb.com/west-wind-production-wwii-figures-with-separate-heads-c-70_180_1821.html (good company I've used them before)

It chills and disturbs me that, in this zombie-horror game, a major selling point is that THE HEADS AREN'T ATTACHED.
Cool for those of us who want plastic gasmask troops, I suppose.
But then, your Secrets of the Third Reich infantry will HAVE NO HEADS. As is obvious in such a system, they will become some sort of undead. However, as they HAVE NO HEADS, they will be some sort of SUPER-zombie; you can't shoot them in the HEAD, if they HAVE NO HEADS!!! Muahahahahaha!!!
On the other hand, as they HAVE NO HEADS, they also can't bite you, making them only semi-effective zombies. Maybe they can stumble around blindly (remember: NO HEADS), and touch the living infantry in ways they aren't comfortable with, degrading their combat performance against the Zombie Nazis, who, SINCE THEY HAVE HEADS, are both more vulnerable than their headless kin, but also more dangerous.

Just ordered 10 packs of the various head types. I'll update on their overall quality once they arrive. My main concern is that half of the German gas mask heads don't seem to actually have gas masks on....

I wonder how well the beret heads would fit on the Cadian figs. I keep wanting to do my Cadian airborne regiment!

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die. |

Quite well apparently http://www.dakkadakka.com/Forums/tabid/56/forumid/8/postid/129643/view/topic/Default.aspx @Jathkin Humor aside, you do know they sell heads on their own, with Westwind you can always get a head. They give great head. You might say they have a good head on their shoulders. Just a heads up.

Oy, my head! Are you sure it's YOUR head? Maybe someone bought your head for a conversion, and you ended up with a no-eyed dwarf head (overstock), instead.

Just got an update to my order. After a placing the order this time last week (and being charged immediately) my order status has been updated to "processing" (from, I guess, "nothing"). They hope to despatch it to me this week. Not exactly impressive service...
Toreador, any news on the ones you ordered?

Sorry I didn't see this long ago. I received my entire shipment in the mail. I think it took a few weeks (maybe a month), but I did receive everything. I emailed them and had a prompt reply.
Did you end up getting yours?
The heads are very amazing, just don't know what I am going to do with all the bandaged head guys that come in it.

Sweet. I'll be getting some head soon. They probably spread the zombie-disease through other means of bodily fluids. You could consider it the "other" head.

I ordered a couple of sets from warweb back when they were first released. They charged me immediately and sent no e-mails of confirmation or anything until 2 weeks later. When they sent an e-mail saying the order was "pending." I sent them an e-mail kindly asking for an update or an answer to what pending even meant, and got a rather rude response explaining that since the product was just released they it wasn't their fault they were out of stock. A week later I got an e-mail with a tracking number which still, to this day, claims my package is in their warehouse. I sent them an e-mail a week after I got the tracking number asking why it hadn't left their warehouse and the response I got was "Well its in the post office's hands now, we're not responsible." Funny thing is the next day I received my package. I've thought about claiming I never got it just because they were always so nice A bunch of the guys at the FLGS were thinking of teaming up and doing an order with me but I think we'll just order through the original UK site. They've lost a few customers for life.
