A squad of daemonettes I did a while back. I was originally going to have them killing guardsmen but I had a friend who offered to let me have some of his unused fire warriors. I couldn't get a good group shot.

I really like the idea of your destyoer/possessed/DP (is it a DP or a Lord?):










My only gripe is that the necron body and spine make it look a little too skinny. I probaby woudl have used a chaos Termie/Marine body and green stuff'd it to fit the Destroyer chassis, maybe kept a proper Chaso head on it as well. But funky plan.

The only problem I ever had with people doing that, is when your playing an army that isnt the "dead guys" it looks weird. Example, you play against Necrons, why are FireWarriors there? Other then that they all look good

After buying the models I discovered that I don't usually use too many daemonettes so I try to keep those as more of show pieces. Although if I do need the other 5 models, or if I'm actually playing Tau, they get to see some table time.

[img]This is mine. A lot of action on this 40mm base, so heres the tour, counterclockwise from the top.
Its rippers, eating a space marine! A salamander leg set and the front part of a warrior torso make the body on the ground, ribs exposed and whatnot. I mangled it a bit.
Theres a ripper holding the head of the marine with its bionic eye recording two rippers fighting over an eyeball. I put some GS balled in the mouth of one ripper and covered the tongues with superglue till it looked nasty enough. Still doesn't look quite right, but from a certain perspective it could be bloody ripper makeouts, filmed.
Below the ripper feasting at the bottom of the base are some tyranid turtlemines(Can't find the OP of these, but they're nice. Thanks!). Make great base cover, and theres one munching on the shoe, as well.
Theres a genestealer ripper about to do just horrifying things with a clamp grip spinefist.
Theres even two of the turtle mines stacking at the top. [/img]

Wow, my friend just introduced me to this site especially this thread I'm amazed at the quality of some of the work here. Really gives me more inspiration, I'll post some pics up once sorta work out which one i love best.

Glad you like it man! In those pics the torso looks "skinny" due to the lack of a backpack, an arm, and adornments on the torso/hull assembly. Here are some more recent ones....haven't gotten much done what with the holidays and my GF being in town for almost 3 weeks.

Ah, gotcha, it does look a lot better bulked out. You gogin to use a "normal" marine arm for the other arm...or something else? A powerfist arm + shoulder pad could serve to add a bti more bulk to the body as a whole.

What will you be playing it as? A DP or a Lord on a mount?

How so? I'd love some constructive criticism on my work....kind of my first major attempts at things. Oh, and here is a shot of the project from the back. <shrug>

Actually you aren't far off....most of my stuff IS bitz box rebuilds of models I painted months ago. If you are speaking of the giant mutant dreadnaught rabbit bug thing on a 60mm base... I dunno, its got a life of its own. Should make a nice "counts as" Defiler though.

It doesn't seem to have a plan to it. it looks as if you've got a necron body, dabbed glue, and dunked it in a feth load of bitz.
