Always have a sweet spot for the older minis, not as well made as todays models but their character out weighs anything made today.

looks great and thats awesome that you have so many rogue trader models. Some of those would be great models for a unique inquisitor's henchmen.

Hi. I've been dipping through pages of your blog and may I firstly say well done on the front page. Secondly I notice early on in your blog you mention using Dettol to strip your minis old paintage. I have pro painted for a few years now and have always used Nitromors to remove old crusty layers of welded on paint. I wondered if you had encountered it or if you just don't like the god awful stench of it and preferred Dettol? Nitromors will take off all but the most stubborn paint in a matter of no more than twenty minutes. For oil paints you may need to dip them twice but you won't have to do much scrubbing or scrapping. One warning if you do try it. Never let it touch your skin cos you'll have never felt burning like it unless you've been in any blowtorch based accidents? Lol. Good luck, keep up the fine work and I just hope I can speed up your enjoyment of this excellent hobby a little bit.

Thanks bodworld but I'm a bit afraid of nitromors (did a jewelery course in uni so yes I have felt the wrath of the blowtorch). Dettol smells pretty awful too.
Thanks DJbutton - I had thought that they would be perfect for inquisitor - and I have like 4 inquisitors as well (only 2 painted)

Definitely paint the Space Orks! Though you should follow your muse and paint the most appealing figures first.

You would love my collection. Started playing in '87, and my little brother made a point of picking up early stuff that Games Workshop did even before that. Weird stuff. Marines with needlers, power/chain swords that look like a corn cob. Stuff like that.

Wow it's been a while since I've looked at this, quite a lot of very rare figures I've never seen before. Awesome.

I've been digging thru my bits boxes and found an ancient Eldar Musician...he has like lots of pipes and crazy looking helmet and a hand flamer with sword I think. I was thinking of painting it up but perhaps it would be better used as a donation to you for completion's sake if you don't already have it.
