I've been working on a 40k scale gargant over the last week or so and thought I'd share my progress with the other Big Meks out there.

I've got a much better writeup over at belloflostsouls.blogspot.com/2007/05/ork-gargant-part-2.html, but basically I started with a hanging basket, 3 plastic bowels, some 1/2" PVC pipe and lots of plasticard.
I still have lots of painting to do, as well as a bit of modeling (not the least of which is the jaw). I'll post some more pics when I get closer to the end.

The size and shape is nice... but it needs teeth. No Gargant is complete without a proper face.

Got something to put next to it to give us a size comparison?

The drinking halls of Fenris or South London as its sometimes called

very nice. I always like the way its easier to convert stuff like titans for orks. I like the way you did the armour plates.

Here is the pic with some other models for scale.  The jaw in this pic isn't finished, so no complaints

It still needs the balcony near the belly gun for some boys to ride on, the engine in the rear and some bits and do-dads around the hull..and lots more paint.
