Thanks for looking in, tommygun1918, I greatly appreciate it.
Some progress this week, not enough until tonight to be worth photographing and posting, but now all the major basecoating is done on the
Lightnings and the arms are attached:
The guy in the left front is the squad leader; unfortunately he is from a different printer than the others from Etsy and is 28mm, although not stated ion the description the others must be 32mm. I figured to place him on a rock, or vaulting a tree trunk or something to give him height (and heroic-ness) and blend in better. I also reckon to scratchbuild him a katana for that empty hand,
I'm having the problem of figures from different printers coming in at different sizes, even when stated they are 28mm (but are 32) or not stated at all but described as 'compatible with common gaming figures like
GW' and aren't. I recently bought a squad of Sisters of Battle from the same printer I've purchased from before (the pictures are earlier in this blog): the first time they were 32mm, this time they are 28mm. The difference is too great to be able to use them together, so I'm fixing to sell them off and try to find the right ones.
I tried to get a little closer in that last shot to show the hoses connecting the gas masks to the respirator tanks- I used some
blue color changing paint dry-brushed onto a flat black bae to giv ethe impression of oily, rubbery, chemically-stained equipment: I think it turned out pretty cool. In this angle, with this light, it looks purply.
More follows soonest. Thank you for looking in.
