@ AvatarForm: actually, everything I used to build this army is 100% GW bits. It was a little challenge I had when I made the army to stay completely within their ranges so I could theoretically play in a GW-sanctioned event. I can answer any questions you have about bits if you'd like something specific, so just let me know.

Where are your heads sourced from? They cannot all be empire men at arms.

@ AvatarForm: most of the heads are the bretonnian men-at-arms (with some bowmen and knight heads as well) as you said, some of which have cadian gas masks on (with green stuff tubing). I also have some cadian heads in there, at least one flagellant head, and all of the the full-head masks are FW renegade torsos, just without the torsos....I know, an absurdly expensive conversion to get these heads, but in my defense I didn't originally buy the FW renegades for this purpose.

Genswicks are not for the faint of wallet.

(As I put a Saber Defence Heavy Stubber Platform on the back of my converted Ork Halftrack....)

Great stuff Accolade. I just hope I can finish mine in under a year.

Cheers!

I actually meant a tutorial for the tanks. But the Ogre one is alot more useful.

Haha, my mistake! I reread your comment after you said that and it became quite clear. Well building the Chimeras is quite easier; I can summarize it in a much shorter manner than the ogryns.

- The tank chasis is actually from the Hellhound kit, mainly because it has flooring in the back. I'm not sure if the updated Chimera has the flooring details, as I built them before it was available.
- You just start with a stripped down Chimera chasis and add a couple of components. The side walls that surround the fuel tanks are attached as usual for a Hellhound, as is the curved back door. The slit pieces that I have above them...to be honest I don't recognize those parts other than being from the Chimera kit (I think they are meant to cover the shooting ports in a normal Chimera).
- One Chimera has a turret taken directly from a Baneblade, and the other two have a Chimera hatch with the armor plating from an Ork kannon (the rest of the cannon became the mortars for the mortar teams), a customized multilaser (built from the Hellhound chemical cannon and a lascannon's end piece), and a Genswick guardsman.
- The rest is just mainly detailing...cadian backpacks, shovels, guns, etc.

That's really all there is to it; it's quite easy to put together bar the gunner (although if you have the Baneblade sponson it's even easier). All of the tanks are magnetized, so the turrets come off whenever they *eventually* get blown off due to intense enemy fire.

Thanks for the support guys, I don't have much for the weekend, but I'll post what I do have. Here's a shot of my WIP tank crewmen:

The servitor and fat guy with the hammer sit on the back of my Medusa tank. The smoker rides on the back of the Hellhound. The other thing I have for today are a couple of sprayed shots of the techpriest and the ratlings:

I'll be back soon with a new unit. Hope all of you stateside have a good 4th of July!
