I'll give Jaxnfury's "dakka-badge" a try.

@smurfwedge: May I suggest to change the "link" in the sig to an actually working link. Yet it has to be copy-pasted...

Unfortunately I have met a major delay in all of my painting, due to destroyed hardware ( brushes and whatnot ), we will see what I am able to do in the near future.

Just a minor update:

Changed the name of my chapter to Council of the Templarum, otherwise it is the same paint scheme and hopefully (just got a new job) I will have it done within a week or 2.

Yes, while I like the idea of the campaign badge, I have no talent outside of painting cleanly lol

Haha, thats actually pretty hilarious. I was sure nobody would would even care about doing them.

That's awesome though. Good to see someone else is grabbing obscure obscure Chapters to make.

I think we are starting to reach the limit of Chapters that actually have a Color Scheme/Pictures of themselves anywhere.

A large amount of the Chapters GW made are only mentioned without any real description.

Hey Rook.
If your pretty good at painting and want to do a second model, why not try the Exorcist chapter. Its a Grey Knight successor chapter.

Here is my mostly finished Crimson Fists Marine. My photography skills (or lack thereof) do not do it justice. I need to buy some more GS because I am going to sculpt a Crimson Fists Chapter Badge and a DakkaDakka campaign badge.

Question: Have we set a deadline for the project yet?

Maybe the above link provides enough paint-schemes to contribute 1k marines

Who likes printed stuff may look into the "space marine hobby compendium" for ideas.

Generally, its impossible to reach a point where you run out of paint-schemes.

No problem, happy to help.

I should be able to make a start on my marine this week. I'm looking forward to getting to work on it, this will be my first non Black Templar loyalist since 3rd edition.

EDIT: Hmm seems that I've got considerably more spare marine bits than I thought, I'm more than happy to donate another marine if you'd like. I'm thinking I might go a bit retro and paint up a Rainbow Warrior.

Well done on the campaign badge mate, looks really good if I do say so myself.

I would have got a tutorial pic up for it if I hadn't been so busy with College work. What shade of orange did you use? Fiery?

Also I will try and get that base tutorial done in the next day or two, sorry for the delay.

The badge is:
-Blazing orange
-golden yellow
-chaos black

Had to do without a tutorial... but it was soo easy,
why can't I come up with such badges and markings when I need them?

So get these 2 up and running, please.

Tonight I planned to settle down for a nice evening modelling for this project, whilst listening to a bit of Depeche Mode. You know relaxing after a hard day at work.

What actually happened has been a gruelling fight against mold lines and a bendy staff on this sorry I mean librarian http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1240900_99060101339_SMLibrarianstaffandbookmain_873x627.jpg

Its not as if the mold lines are that bad but trying to get at them is a nightmare, really bad angles and a nice lot of detail that I don't want to file off.

Anyway enough of my whining

I got really lucky last night....I got to listen to Glee too (thanks Abigail)

I've found that when I'm modelling any music I'm in the mood for will do. On the other hand when I'm painting I find heavy rock puts me off.

The will be worth it though, very nice sculpt.

I'm by no means au fait with the fluff, but I thought that there were already a few rather (in)famous Space Marines who went by the moniker the Luna Wolves
