I know these update are a delightful torment, we just want to see more now!!! no but always great to see the updates Develain! That gunship is coming along nicely, cant wait to see more, well done as always!

Got a little more work done on the gunships.

Closed the entire scratchbuilt part, smoothed and filed.
Ready for the putty to construct the nose of the vehicles.

They are starting to take shape now!

Hehe, thought you had some kind of improvised explosive in the corner of the picture for a second!

The gunship is looking super-wicked-cool.

First Gunship has been undercoated, and I started painting the cockpit interior.
After that I can finally start working on the canopy!

Yes. The floor is magnetised, and the models in it are weighted with copper coins.
So they can stand magnetised in the cargo without falling out, as you can see in this picture:



Only problem is: I have 3 of these fliers, each with 1 squad in them + 2 characters joining 2 of those squads. That makes 8 units!
Got a Vindicare assassin, and some jokaero standing on the battlefield...

The new 6th edition states that I have to start with at least half of my units on the table at the start of turn 1. No problems whatsoever.
BUT.. Fliers have to start in reserve, and they start rolling in turn 2 for reserve.
So bummer. I can only start with 1 gunship filled with clones and a character, and the other gunship have to start without clones, because those clones have to start on the table

I have been thinking of adding and splitting more squads. But that is not going to happen!

Anyway, that was kind of a downer, but I don't really care about that. The army will be cool enough for me to finish it and play with it.
There is plenty of new stuff I have to show you guys!

So keep and eye out for more updates!

could you not add a footslogging unit of clones operating some sort of themed aegis defense line/emplaced gun? (to help you get more units in flyers in reserve)

But the problem is: I have 10 units now. So 5 have to start on the table.

My plan was to put 3 squads in 3 fliers, with 2 characters joining 2 of those squads. So that makes 8 units in reserve, and 2 on the table.

In order to make that happen, I would need 16 units in total!
6 extra units is not an option for me, pointwise.

But I figured that the 2 empty fliers can still always pick up the squads that were supposed to be in it!
So no worries guys

A unit + its dedicated transport is classed a single unit for the reserves count.

So you can feasibly only require 1 unit on the field ( or 1 unit w/ character.)

If that helps? (Or I read it wrong... I don't know xD)
