That "3-8 week windiw" comment I believe is aimed at the estimated delivery of the core game. At least, in context, he is still talking about the core game timeline and factoring in the uncontrollable/unknown of Customs processing. He makes no mention of the expansions shipping directly.

You're right but I think we can assume a similar window for the next shipment. So 3-8 weeks after it's on a boat on the water.

So, I asked both Adam and Joe (shipping MGR, I believe) about the expansion ship dates, and neither was willing to give a date because they don't want to over promise on the time line. Which is fine by me.

All the dudes in the booth were really good guys, so It makes me very comfortable in supporting them in the future (sure, the end product doesn't hurt).

So yes, Alpharius, I'm also second guessing selling my copy.

To celebrate all this great coverage we're extending the window for Monster Pre-Orders. Please note that the discount will soon be reduced.

So a bit more time to pre-order if you've recently decided you want in on KD:M.

Me too - I think I'll be keeping it!

And I'm going to still be devoting all of my spare positive thoughts towards getting all the expansions delivered THIS calendar year!

First, I love that sentence. Second, I am imagining there is an item called "sack full of genitals" that allows the bearer to control the actions of another model, given certain conditions.

I wouldn't say it's impossible. It was off of a critical hit from the Phoenix at the waist area-something like, "Your genitals are destroyed. Your line, and the line of thousands of your descendants has been severed. You gain the Apathetic aura from the futility of your struggles."

The Apathetic aura prevents a character from using survival points- they can't dodge attacks, dash out of the way, take an extra attack, or encourage another character. They basically lose the will to live.

Hrm... I suppose Poots has not been married as long as some of us then. Or perhaps much, much longer?
It does seem a little strange that a character who might already have children or grandchildren would take that pose, but oh well.

I'm paraphrasing a bit- I don't remember the exact wording. I'm guessing sex and the next generation are pretty central to the culture of the settlements(going off of leaked art and piecing together blurbs), and losing the ability to participate in those activities would leave one a bit apathetic.

Are there any pictures out there of the actual assembled figure? I did a quick search but couldn't find any.

I like the artwork, but I'd like to see the actual assembled figure before buying it!

I think it's cool that it's a pinup being sold for $15. Glad that wasn't a show-only price.

I ordered a Sci-Fi Twilight Knight pin-up. I'm a total sucker for the Twilight Knight and all her variants. Even though, I don't actually have the normal TK pin-up. I'll buy the hard plastic pin-up set eventually!

Edit: And I still really, really want the Fighter, Rogue, and Mage in plastic!

Cool that it comes with the promo lantern items from the con that some people were sticking on ebay. I like that.

I ordered the Sci-Fi Twilight Knight... but the postage was more than the figure. So i bit the bullet and also got the $100 pinups of death pack that I'd been meaning to get at some point - same postage, which was nice.

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

Excuse me while I laugh at the idiots who paid nearly £50 for the 2 cards and the same for the model. Next time, read the e-mails and news properly.

The almost-almost-almost-here position for the core game inspired me to get on to finishing up the Pin-ups of death assembly (yeah, the models are gorgeous but some of the assembly is so, so fiddly!).

Was the number of pieces for the Phoenix ever quoted anywhere (BoW video maybe?), I have this idea that it's over 100, and I'll be honest, that's a little intimidating...........?

Dunno if I agree regarding the price, the HIPS pinups of death (the nearest equivalent models) work out at $12.50 each, so $15 doesn't seem so cool to me. Also, being a "rest of the world" buyer I have to factor in high shipping costs plus customs fees plus Royal Mail bending-me-over fees, so I find it hard to justify the eventual total price for one plastic figure.

I already own plenty of KD figures which I'm very happy with, but ordering single figures from the store is not financially viable, especially in HIPS; it's a great medium for gaming figures but I prefer my "luxury" figures to be in resin, for obvious reasons.

Thanks Dentry, but I was looking for a pic of the assembled mini, which sadly doesn't yet appear to exist. I was happy to pledge for some plastic pinups during the kickstarter based solely on the artwork, because they hadn't been sculpted yet (and I do love the artwork ). This figure has been sculpted, yet no assembled pictures exist.

Poots is a master at marketing his product, so this strikes me as a little odd.

Perhaps I should have said, decent for US based buyers.

It's $10 cheaper than the reason versions, and the last single-figure 32mm HIPS product was the Halloween special at $25. It appears to me he's still working out where he wants his prices to be, and I personally find $15 to be a fair price(as a US customer).

I would be quite satisfied if pin-ups were fifteen dollars going forward. As for them being cheaper in the pin-up collection, it's generally cheaper per model to buy a "collection" of them (so to speak) opposed to buying one at a time. I agree, twelve dollars would be better because I'm cheap, but if pin-ups are in the twelve to fifteen range, I think that's pretty fair.

I have some extras if anyone is interested in the cards and not in the actual pin-up model.

Not going to try to get $60/per for them on eBay like the scalpers did at Gencon?

Have you seen the resins side by side with their plastics?

I have to be honest: I'm not sure the resin gives you any noticeable difference. I ordered the Pinups collection in plastic prior to closing out my pledge manager. Needless to say, every pin up I have coming from Monster will be in plastic.

I own the plastic pinups of death box set so I'm familiar with the quality of the KD plastics, the detail is indeed very good, but in my view not quite as good as resin. Slide core technology in plastic tooling can alleviate some of the undercut issues, but can't remove them entirely, compromises still need to be made.

I own many KD resin models too, but I don't own any of the same mini's in both plastic and resin so can't compare the two "in hand"; It would be interesting to see comparison pictures to compare like for like, if they were both primed I'm pretty sure I could tell which was which!

I ordered a mixture of resin and plastic pinups from the Monster KS, plastic for the ones that I liked and resin for the ones that i really liked .

Am i correct in saying that the base game was $85-100 in the KS, up to $250 for preorders, and $400 in retail. That's pretty crazy if so!

Take a look at just how much stuff is included. Also, I think the prices include all the expansions unless I'm mistaken.

$400 for just the Core game hoss. Was $100 during the kickstarter. Expansions are probably going to be ~$50+ apiece depending on size.
