Hey guys, we have copy of our tournament package available on our Facebook page. Once I get some feedback there we will be posting it on our site. Just to remind you we are running our first 6th edition 40k team tournament Saturday November 3rd and a Warhammer Fantasy Singles event Sunday November 4th.

November 3rd will be a 1000pt per player doubles tournament. Tickets are $80 for the team, $70 if you sign up by October 20th.

November 4th will be a 2200pts singles tournament. Tickets are $40 per player, $35 if you sign up by October 20th.

Lunch is provided for both tournaments.

Lots of cool awards and prizes are to be won, including our 38" long black steel Conquest Sword!

Is anyone gaming tomorrow? Am suffering from gaming withdrawal and fancy gaming both days this weekend. Are legends or the gw good on saturdays?

Anyone know if Meeplemart is open this Sunday? Or will it be closed on account of the Thanksgiving weekend? (Yes, I realize Thanksgiving is in Monday, but I know a lot of people who will be celebrating it on Saturday and Sunday, hence my concern).

The games will be 1850pts
Entry - $10.00
Rounds: 3 rounds, each consisting of two hours of game play, with fifteen minutes additional time for deployment.
Top 4 will share in prizes plus additional bonus draw prizes.
Unpainted armies are allowed.
Doors will open early - 9am and game play will start at 10am.


RULES
* The 6th Edition Missions & Rule set and current codex. (Apocalypse and Imperial Armour rules
are not allowed)
* Mysterious Objectives/Terrain WILL NOT be used and terrain will be pre-set up with fortifications dropping onto existing tables.
* Special characters are permitted but subject to normal restrictions for that character in the codex.
* Any armour, weapons and upgrades must be modeled on the miniature. ( WYSISWYG )
* Models must be fully assembles but non-painted miniatures are allowed.
* Forge World models are allowed to represent models from an existing codex.
* No Forge World rules allowed.
* Standard Missions from the current 6th edition rules book to be used.

SCORING

WIN...........3 + Victory Points
DRAW.......1 + Victory Points
LOSE ........0 + Victory Points
Annihilation is worth a bonus 2 points in addition to the above scoring.

Swiss Format will be used for pairings.

PLEASE PROVIDE AN ARMY LIST TO AVOID MISUNDERSTANDINGS.

Anyone looking for some games this week? I'm free Thursday afternoon from 2-7 for some 40k at legends.

I can probably be there. Not sure about my schedule yet. But I'll text you for sure.

I would like to sign up for the next tournament, but there was a major discrepancy during the last one. One particular player was spotted moving his models a few extra inches than they should have been. Also, he didn't "know" the 6th edition rules. My source in this information is a very trustworthy one, and I classify this individual as a cheater, and have zero tolerance for this kind of behaviour.

I believe every player should have the rules down pat and know their own goddamn codex before they enter a competitive environment.

If I see this particular individual enlisted Oct. 21st, count me out.

Yeah i'm not overly fond of cheaters either, though i'm guilty of still looking up rules for 6th edition. Hell i was still looking up rules for 5th edition the day before 6th came out . I'll probably be signing up that day as well if we do end up meeting.

My schedule has changed a bit for Thursday, i'm only available till 6 instead of 7 if that changes anything. If we do get a game in you are going to have to tell me who this "cheater" was because I am very curious now.

Did you make mention of this incidence to the player or organizers?
As for knowing all the rules, only top tournament players probably know all the rules but I even doubt that.
When you are entering a store level competition you will have the whole gambit of players from fully knowledgeable to beginners that want to test the tournament environment
but not want to pay out $80 to be totally trashed in 45 minutes.
If you have any problems at any tournaments always talk to the organizers, that's what they are there for.

I agree that no one should be cheating like you say but you can't seriously expect people to know the rule book and their codex cover to cover. 6th edition was barely out 3 weeks before the tournament started. Some people are lucky to get 2-3 games in a month. This type of tournament is for fun number 1 and I hope that doesn't change. I am curious to know who the player was but I doubt you would name names online. Perhaps a private PM would inform the rest of us to keep an eye out for said player. Thanks for the heads up.

I believe that particular player is known for going to big tourney's such as conquest. Also he is a long time veteran from 5th edition.

Maybe I am being irrational. Sometimes it's the opponent's fault for not correcting an inexperienced player that he is making a mistake, such as moving more than 6". Then again this person, is a long time vet, and moving 6" was no different in 5th than it is in 6th.

Me personally, I do not trust this player, and don't feel like arguing with him. That being said, someone else can take my place. I will probably attend the tournament as a spectator.

@Rhythem: I can be at Legends tomorrow at 2pm. I'm fine by leaving at 6pm. We playing 1850 as usual?

I'm trying to get in as many practice games as well before the next tournie, as it stands right now i'm free this Saturday the 13th from 11 am onward. As for this week i'm only free during the days from 11-5 Tuesday-Thursday since i'm doing some night shifts at work.

Cool, depending on how long you guys are there for maybe I'll see you. I'm going to try to get out there on wed as well, but I don't know how many other people I'll be able to drag out. Idealy at least one.

I'll be good from 11-8 now, work got shifted around on me, though i still need to pick up the gf at 8:30. As for what army i'm bringing i never really know what i feel like playing till the day of, but i prefer to play 1850 lists for tournie practice. Though i can go higher than that if there is interest in a larger pt level.
