I thought I'd throw this out there for all the people who will no doubt want to convert all of their slugga boyz into storm boyz by strapping them to rokkits.

Does anyone know a good source for cheap rokkits that look orky enough, are the right scale, or can be made easily out of low cost parts?

Marine backpacks+those cross shaped things that hold bases together+plastic card=helicopter packs.

2-3 stacked tank wheels+fins=rocket

highlighter pen caps

I'm sure there are more but that's off the top of my head.

1/48 or larger scale Fighter aircraft munitions (missiles, rockets, etc.)

Engines and wings off 1/144 scale aircraft (esp. bombers like the b-52 or the b-58)

Convert Tau Pulse rifles or fusion guns (or flamers, for that matter) to look like wacky future sci-fi jump packs (stack 'em together, shave off obvious gun pieces). (Note to Ed Maule: if you want to do Robotech Orks, that's probably a way to do it).

New-style HK missile from the IG greebles sprue

Greebles from the Pegasus Chemical Plant would probably work

Check out the bead section of a local hobby shop, like Michaels or AC Moore. Something may jump out at you.

Sheet styrene tubes and end caps with styrene fins.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

the helicopter look would be cute, but I'd be worried about blades snapping off

as my army will be deffskull/bloodaxe and i have a pile of marine jumppacks, that's by far the simplest option for me

sudden insane thought - winged squigs stapped to the boys' backs? Of course, then you need a pile of squiggy wings...

I just bought the gw bag of 10 space marine backpacks for 15 dollars, which online are 2.50 a piece and shipping so this was better.  Gonna paint em like space marine backpacks of different chapters, then add ork grafiti and plasticard wings on the sides.  I liked the pencap idea, but this is just cheap enough for me and should look nice to boot.

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

I did this for Khornate Raptors. cut off a backpacks end nozzles and put on the searchlights (spikes out!). Ver spikey/riveted. Old bits though, good luck getting lots of them!

Wouldn't putting helicopter blades skew a bit closer to Deffkopters then Stormboyz?
