I'm not saying Lelith will be useless. Just saying if she gets tied up by something she can't hurt she is fooked.

I'll take Lelith because she'll make Marines and IG and Eldar players cry when she mows down whole squads on her own.

Well seeing as the new Drazhar artwork looks nothing like the model i assume GW will make a new one to fit the look of the new incubi.

Drazhar will always be my fav DE model and model ingeneral.

Kidding aside though, I don't know how you can resist new Dark Eldar. I haven't preordered anything, but only because I haven't got money til november anyway. I'm counting the days and trying to scrape together as much money as possible before the release date.

Well as my marines are in a foreign country and won't be sent over soon I will probably be more tempted. I'm looking at the voidraven and thinking 'How?' Falcon grav tank on a flyer base w/ no turret and some spikey bits or something?

Also tempted to wait until the 2nd wave... as I could spend time and effort sourcing bitz (hard as all my bitz are back home in Ireland!) for GW to release a kit. Waiting for battleforce, army list builds / tactics and ideas... it's hard to know really. Plus I like my marines, ineffective as they are. If DE are good and I'm cunning enough I might re-pick them. The mini's are some of the best GW have ever done.

Lelith isn't useless, she's not not worth 170 points either. Great model, I'll probably just use it as a hekatrix, syren, or succubus much more often than Lelith.

Well she was only like 95 last time . . . but that was ridiculously cheap, seeing as she had a 4+ power weapon, a 2+ inv save, wych weapons, and was plain awesome

Damn right, she was cheaper by 50pts then a wych archon with the same wargear.

For her price I would say she is pretty good.

She could go toe-to-toe with any other marine in the dex and probably beat them...

I do get where you're coming from. I really want some of the unreleased units, especially the Voidraven and Wracks. I could maybe convert, and would enjoy doing so, but that might be a waste if the official models come soon and are really nice. Also, I too want to design a good list. DE are bringing out my competitive side even though I'm usually a fluff player.

But all of this counts for nothing really, because I'm definitely afflicted with "ZOMG HAVETOHAVENOW"

Some of us don´t have to wait anymore.

Did anyone see the beige transport vehicle just in front of Phil Kelly in the GW video? Could it be the venom? it didnt look like a raider...

It is a raider, seen from the front.

The models hanging on the sides are the same as well.

I beleive we have seen this one before a couple of weeks back in the what new today section. Basically the WIP model they made.

I have to say the new look of the Dark Eldar is amazing! I wonder if the rules will match. It is hard to tell from speculation how an army will play on the table top though.

It's a typo. She is NOT worth 170 points. With her limited ability to hurt T4+ and relative fragility, she will have trouble making back her points, much less exceeding them. If she had her Agoniser and Eternal Warrior, maybe, but as is, no.

I was pretty impressed by that vid too. Much better than the Warhammer ones they did when they released Fantasy in the summer.

I wasn't so impressed by the, "Phil do you want to answer that one", "Sure Jes... erm..." repartee though

The video was great, wish they did that with every new codex they release.

I suppose GW are looking to push as much hype about the new dark eldar as possible.

I have to admit, I watched the Eldar Round Table vid, and it was good. They actually put a human feel on the design, and made me think, maybe these guys really do have a passion for their creation, rather the the image of a bunch of guys in suits in a board room plotting how to part poor gamers from their cash!

Good move GW, keep it up, you just might turn me to the Dark Side!

The vid was interesting, but part of it made no sense to me. They say that the DE are slowly losing their souls to the warp/great enemy/slaneesh. But the way in which they describe this sounds just like the regular Eldar, i.e., a gradual and inevitable decline of their civilization. Am I missing something? (that is perhaps provided in the new Codex...)

It's that their losing their souls slowly. If they haven't changed it to much Dark Eldar basically slow the loss of their souls by feeding Slaanesh with their excesses which is unlike the regular Eldar who hide their souls inside a network to keep them from flowing to the big bad man. I like it as it is confimation of why slaves/souls are so important to them which they didn't come right out and say in the old codex. You had to infer it.
