I think they look fething awesome. And I like the sails.

Also, surprised no-one's really mentioned the excellent cover artwork. I think it's one of the best ever.

I don't think much of the wyches. For some reason they ignored people's requests and have stuck a load of male figures in the box and then clad everyone in lots of modesty armour. They only look a bit less armoured than the warriors and the females don't look feminine.

Ever since WD 127, I've been a big fan of Jes Goodwin and the Eldar. He's now put his magic touch on their darker kin and it looks fantastic. I'm hoping the Codex will be as good as these models as I'd love to read the new spin on them.

Great pics and great looking models all around. The new Jetbike is definitely my top of the list favorite.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Look stunning, and my beloved definately approves, so she'll be going Dark Eldar this year. My Orcs are looking forward to new pansies to Krunch.

My future Guard army however, are preparing to hide in the shattered rements of their world, making sure they have that 'last' round in the pistol if a Dark Eldar gets to close.

Having seen these in the flesh about an hour ago, and having just seen the pictures on my Blackberry, I have to say the pictures don't do justice to just how good looking the models really are (especially the jetbikes, they completely blew me away). The only thing that didn't totally inspire me was the Raider, but it's hardly a bad sculpt. Can't wait to read the codex now to see how their background has fleshed out.

I saw the jetbike and without thinking shouted, "Crikey!"

Lelith is impressive. Like, really impressive. She gets right just about everything that GW normally gets wrong. The pose has motion, apart from her hair (which as an Eldar, is forgivable) nothing about her is ridiculous, she has a facial expression that indicates emotion other than shouting. She's just great. And being barefooted is a nice touch.

I love the archon with the bone sword. The basic warrior is ace. I think the Incubi would be great without the horns, but that's easily remedied. Not so excited about the wyches, but they are obviously well-made. Just not my thing. I love the raider.

Hmmm... little unimpressed to be honest, sadly. I'll have to save my final judgement till I see them in my local GW. At least my wallet seems safe for now.

Only two that raises any intrest is the bikes and Lelith Hesperax, purely for conversion into CWE at this point, really really gutted

The incubi IMO needed to keep the helbards instead of the uruk'hai style blades from lotr, also need the horns removed, in fact a completely different head, more based on the old style.

WOW!

I think ALL of the new models look great! Unlike Chaos and some other armies, they don't look overly garish or cartoony. These new Dark Eldar don't appear to be trying too hard to be bad-ass, they're not covered in too many spikes or skulls or mundane pieces.

The don't appear to be the bane of humanity or possessed by the Chaos Gods, but they have the image of raiders, pirates and generally very very sadistic people.

Where-as Chaos Space Marines can seem cartoony or a bit stereotypically evil, the Dark Eldar look incredibly sadistic and actually like Raiders. They seem more than just spikey-Eldar, they seem to be race in their own.

I'm really really impressed by the new models, they have the sinister, sadistic imagery but stay fluid and dexterous in appearance and still fit with the old models.

Absolutely great job, amazing! All Kudos to Jes Goodwin, this is possibly the best looking army I've ever seen.

Most of that looks awesome. Lelith, the Incubi, the Mandrakes (I think its a Mandrake, the one after the Warrior) and the Jetbikes in particular look great, can definitely see the evolution of that old Eldar jetbike prototype in there.

The only one I'm not sold on is the Raider, which is a real concern considering its there main (only?) transport so it would be tricky to build and army without them. Definitely an improvement on the old ones and I can see where they are going with the whole Pirate boat thing but it still doesn't look that great. Having said that whoever picked/took that photo for the website and newsletter needs to be kicked, the angle that picture was taken on is terrible and completely doesn't show one of the new features (the hanging off crew). The ones from Gamesday, particularly the one with the more streamlined sail make it look much more passable imo.

Incubi would have to be hit stupidly hard with the nerf stick to end up anywhere near as bad as Repentia, I can't see their equipment changing all that much (as in those sure as hell look like power weapons to me) so the only potential issue would be their points cost.

I like all the pics. The new Raider looks great, and it's great to see a well designed female model out of GW.

The Incubi heads are giving me a bit of pause though. The rest of the model looks great, but I also might need to cut off those horns. They seem a bit much though I'll wait to see what they look like in person before I completely dismiss the horned helmets. New weapon and I don't see any gun on the helm (do they no longer wear tormentor helms?). Looks like Incubi will be very different rules wise.
