Ok, I just got a small bunch of eldar model. I never played eldar and before buying the eldar codex, I want to know if what I have is playable. I dont know minimum squad size, nothing. I dont want to know the exact rule, but I would love to hear thing like "Yes you can field 3 jet bike", or "No, you can't play with only 5 scorpions".

thanks alot

Everything you have there is usable except for the Guardians. You need a weapon platform to go along with them. Other then that, you'd have to leave 1 Swooping Hawk out of the squad, because max size is 10 (with the Exarch included).

M_STRESS is mostly right. Guardians come in two varities. Storm guardian and defender guardians. Defender guardians will benefit from a heavy weapon add on but can be fielded without. Storm guardians is cc and can't bring the heavy weapon. Squad size for both is 10-20/squad.

Check your Codex again. Guardians require a Weapon Platform unless armed as Defenders. If your Guardians are in two separate entries, you need to call up GW or go to a store and buy yourself the new Codex.

A good basic list. Lose one of the Swooping Hawks, as pointed out, max unit size is ten including the Exarch.
3 bikes is the absolute minimum for that unit type.
Defender guardians need a weapons platform, unless they are CC Storm Guardians.

You have it the wrong way around.

Since Taranis refers to a squad size of 10-20, he certainly has the correct codex.

Eldar codex p.64. A troop choice called "guardians". They come in Two varieties but is handled in the same troop entry. If the models is armed with a shuriken PISTOL and a ccw they are storm guardians. IF they on the other hand is carrying only a shuriken CATAPULT they are guardians Defenders. P 39 eldar codex. Defenders MUST be equipped with a heavy weapons platform. It is not an option as I wrote earlier. My bad on the heavy weapon. squad size is still 10-20.
Good luck with your models
