I have two different places on dakka seen mentioned that transports should be shaken after the deploy their cargo. This I do not understand. All I can read in the rulebook is that if they move and then deposit they can move no further. Shooting should not be affected?

Care to post a link (or post the text) from these other places?

There is no reason a transport which deploys its contents is automatically stunned.

Maybe you are thinking about the fact that if a vehicle suffer's a penetrating hit, then passengers must disembark. Since a penetrated vehicle is stunned on top of whatever damage it takes, maybe that is what you were thinking of.

Can anyone explain the logic in assuming a transport would be shaken after dropping its troops? Color me curious.

Well, I started this. I thought I saw, at least one place, that transports would be shaken after deploying.
I have been unable to find it again so I thing it is I who didn't proberly digest what was written. I have no further questions about transports, and suggest we lay it to rest.
We do not disagree and my doubt is removed.

Thank you for your replies.

Probably from Falcon threads where the Falcon is often shaken when deploying troops...
