I wasn't sure if stormboys would be smarter than actually having some anti-tank guns in FA slots. I also didn't put lootas in so there'd be no infantry in escalation games. I don't want 75% of the enemy army shooting at 20% of mine.
I figure the Big Mek (should he be a warboss? I saved some points by taking him) will target small shooty squads or the rear armor of tanks. The wartrakks do the same. The boyz either head right for the enemy or wind their way through cover for the first couple turns. Kans hold my deployment zone and fire their 36" range guns.
Sound good?
Also, this probably isn't the right forum, but I'm going to be scratchbuilding the kans by using Tau landing gear for legs. I was thinking oil barrels or ammunition crates for ther bodies. Is there a cheapish model kit with either of those items that would be proper scale for kan bodies? I don't really know much about real military modeling and it seems like there are tons of accessory packs & whatnot to look through.
Might I suggest replacing the kans with stormboyz, or mabye deff koptas. Both have their merits, are faster, and actually fit in with a kult of speed army. But that being said, kult of speed armies are no longer limited to what can go in em, so if you find em fun I say use em. Oh and reinforced rams are a godsent, I always use red paint too, but thats just me.
