Hey guys,
I just opened my first box of the new Striking Scorpions and I cannot figure out how to model the exarch with chainsabres. The Scorpions claw is ther, the biting blade is there, but there are no chainsabres.

The absence of chain sabres is Khaine's way of telling you to never get them, because they suck.
Serious answer: no official modelling option exists for the chain sabres, just as there's no shuriken cannon in the new Dark Reaper set and no triskele in the Banshee set. Honestly, it's almost like there's a pattern here. . . .

The old ork chainswords is all I can think of. Good luck finding any though!

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

i used the bititng blade, cutting down one hand, and an additional scorp sword for the second sabre. paintied him up really nice in a comabt pose then tryed him out in a few games.
i now run him with the claw. the sabres really do not do very well. they are strength 3, and even at reroling hits and wounds, i much rather have a str 6 fist, even if it hits last.

Ok, I will take your advice and put the claw on him instead of the chainsabres.
Thanks,

not only the str 6 power fist, but it replaces the pistol. you still get to use the chain sword if you really want.
also scorpion chansabres give +1 str. so he would be str 4 not 3....

no they dont. if you look at the codex, scorp chainsword gives +1 cuz it says in the enntry, as does the biting blade. chain sabres say nothing about adding +1 str. thats why they are so bad, if they were STR 4 they would be at least semi usefull for mulching infantry.
nice choice for the claw, you wont be dissapointed.
