It uses the terms " Models are removed from play"

It doesn't mention anything about armor saves of any kind.

Usually if you aren't allowed a save or an invulnerable save it will say something like " No saves of any kind allowed, not even invulnerable saves" but it doesn't say this here. So does this mean that the models under the template or within d6" (In the double 1's case) are allowed invulnerable saves?

thanx,

No saves. Just as the rules say, the model is removed as a casualty in the case of double ones or is removed from play on a result of double sixes.

I concur. This isn't even "instant death", the model is just removed, and any models not on the table at the end of the game count as destroyed for VP purposes.

Its especially funny used on things immune to instant death. Oh how I can hear the tyranid player weep "but my hive tyrant is immune to instant death!" To which I will reply "thats no problem, hes not dead! Merely lost in the warp being molested by slanesh at the moment."

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

No wounds, no save, no resistance by immunity to Instant Death. It's like a situational vortex-grenade-launcher.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
